Monitor Audio make terrific AMAZING breath taking speakers ! Lol, just to counter the clown below me. Absolutely LOVE my 7G Silvers 😍 and they are class leading in the 2500 $ range in terms of Dynamics, Power & Musicality. Would be stoked to afford those Platinum, just wish pricings for your higher End series would drop down a bit, so more people can get to enjoy them. 🙏💙

I have the Platinum 500II speakers with tiger like wood finish. Still burning in my audio quest dragon cables and doing some tweaking. Need 100hrs for a baseline.

We can't specify particular amplifiers as it's up to your personal preference, however the Silver 500 7G requires amplifier powers between 80 - 250 W in 8 Ohms.

I don't think a new 500 is in Monitor Audio's best interest. They are too big for most people's listening rooms. I doubt that they were a large portion of Platinum series sales since they were introduced. Stopping at the new 300 G3's as the top speaker makes a lot of sense. At least to my sensibilities it does.
