With the 0.6.0 version of snmp_exporter, you know have to change the module from "if_mib" to "if_mib_ifdescr" to get the same result as shown in this video. Though I'm curious why the if_mib module uses ifIndex instead of ifDescr in 0.6.0, because ifIndex does not seem to be that useful. Is there a performance reason for this change?

The online documentation says to use snmp.yml to set a community string. All of variations of module settings and community dont seem to work for me. Is there a guide for it?

No documentation and examples of how to use exporter in any product environment. I have no idea how to setup community, version. I even don't understand clearly of how to work with generator, because there simply no documentation that cover that area. Bad, very bad. It took me 2 evenings to understand of how to use snmp_exporter, generator. How to work with MIB and OID. Not easy..... I think there is need for few more videos, that can show different scenarios of how to use your exporter.

Anyone have the details on how he was able to graph every switchport? i am fairly new to grafana, and can only get one large graph using my netgear switch
