Especially considering no reviewer that I've seen thus far has been able to actually demonstrate the value in Dyac 2, and since Zowie are delusional enough to think that the change from Dyac 1 to Dyac 2 is worthy of a $100 USD price increase, a greater focus on that would be appreciated. I know that if i was to get an oled i would spend maybe double the price of this since i would also need to get a better gpu to be even able to push enough fps at the higher resolution. As i found it's not really that good to set custom resolutions significantly lower than the monitor (so 1080p native a 720p custom res would still look ok, but from a 2k native a 720p res would be not that great, which i have tested)

I have a tons of things to say but before that, thank you for giving us some informations about screens, like always. Well, first, i found that your Response Time chart is a little bit weird if i compare with my experience with this screen, two month ago, i mean, that's not sound really credible but i have some things to say about that. What i found weird is the high/premium OD performance in terms of response time and Refresh Compliance, how that can be so bad while i've used these two mode while i've tested this screen and it feels super smooth and instantly ? (did you try to redo these test or this is a one shot test ?) I found that very weird because some screen (240hz) that you tested with a "better" response time just doesn't feel like the chart in terms of responsiveness so i think there will be some "error" or things to take in consideration, in addition it is weird while we know that OSRTT tool and stuff like that are generally very accurate. It's very interesting tho, also custom OD 17 (your settings) compared to my custom OD 17 (the same) doesn't feel like 8.2% of overshoot but a little bit more, while 8.2% is green (so it's ok, you won't notice it) it is in reality not the case in my experience at 240fps constantly, anyway, hugely dissapointed about how the screen managed so bad the Refresh Compliance by beign a 500 dollars TN panel with only 77.3% (weirdly, this screen feels more smooth than some 85% IPS 240hz panel...so...yeahn i don't really understand.) anyway, this Zowie still have so much less overshoot than IPS competitor. Also, some people will maybe prefer the XL2566K (360hz version) but in fact, this screen have a huge problem of Coil Whine at 360hz (i've had 4) while the XL2546X doesn't Coil Whine at all. So bad that the old XL2546K (K, not X) are not in the Best GtG Performance chart to compare the old and the new. Things that you won't consider while testing : Comfort,Zowie are known to have a "perfect" stand with a "perfect" OSD, Black Equaliser performance are the best of the market and no one IPS panel can do that like Zowie, also Color Vibrancy etc The Armada from HP looks better on paper but i'm pretty sure it's less comfortable and less good to play on this screen than on the BenQ. About Strobing, i've made Alien Pursuit too about Ghosting and Crosstalk and we get similar results, so bad the screen is not compatible with Blur Buster Utility, like, wtf, the XL2546X have imho better strobing performance than the XL2586X💀and the Asus is the best, Zowie today really become dissapointing.

That way the response time could be always in the best settings you want, to never see too many overshoots or bluriness ghostiong with movement.

Not yet at all lol. Burn is is way too prevalent for productivity still. I use it for daily work and gaming 12hrs a day. At least 3khrs a year. Oleds going to be burnt in after 2 years.

Having a 240Hz OLED I still yearn for the beautiful motion clarity I got from my Acer IPS 120hz monitor... And I don't even play any competitive games. Better motion clarity just makes the games look much better
@SwampyF4RT5 ай бұрын
You can’t be serious… Not a single IPS can manage motion clarity like TN or OLED. I don’t believe you have a 240hz OLED. You must be mistaken and confusing motion blur for motion clarity…
@insu_na5 ай бұрын
@@SwampyF4RT Motion clarity is just the inverse of motion blur, with some overshoot artifacts added. My OLED has almost no overshoot, but it has a lot of persistence blur => bad motion clarity

Always liked Zowie's strobing tech but do any actual esport players actually use it? I doubt it. Those monitor companies don't seem to understand that strobing is more useful at lower framerates, it's better for AAA or retrogaming if anything since it makes 60fps looks like 130+fps. If you run a game at 240fps already sure you get even more clarity from the bfi but it's honestly clear enough without. In fact bfi/strobing could increase input lag slightly so serious players would actively turn it off to be sure.
@AnimeUniverseDE5 ай бұрын
Yup we need OLEDs to support BFI. Perfect blacks plus insane motion clarity would be awesome

If zowie made a 1440p monitor, id buy asap. I went with the Benq Ex270qm, which is 1440p 240hz and I love it. I still think oled is not worth it

@@C0nnie You don't understand, i don't talk about the performance of the screen or anything like that. I talk about a bug that ALL EX270QM have : When you want to play on 1080p fullscreen, this screen lock the refresh rate at 120hz. If you are naive you won't notice it, so you want the proof ? ok > turn On G-Sync, play at 1080p fullscreen and see the magic stuff appears : a beautiful 1440p screen which show you a cr*p 120hz lock, like, wtf.

never heard of this, never experienced this lol. I have everything running natively at 1440p 240hz. I did uninstall the 4k stuff from nvidia though, which sounds more like what you're talking about.@@AquilaeYT

Why wouldn't you go with an OLED monitor?
@Pelicanzzz5 ай бұрын
OLED's version of blacklight strobing is BFI. And that feature is limited right now. Sample and hold motion blur is real.
@AnimeUniverseDE5 ай бұрын
Because current OLEDs, without BFI, don't do anything to combat persistence blur caused by sample and hold. They are worse in motion than any monitor with BFI or backlight strobing. We need to push manufacturers to include BFI on their OLEDs too

I've been saying for years it is just marketing gimmick so I was right. They scammed you like Razer with their gaming headsets or keyboards. LOL. Benq is the new Razer, it is the same with their outdated mice without any sw cos muh latency. In fact, they use outdated TN panels and mice without sw support so they cheap out, don't have to support additional features and kids playing Fortnite and CS2 will purchase it. Back in my days, I had 75hz, cheap 5 euro worth black/white genius mice which broke after one year and then I purchased new one. Now, I have Razer Viper Ultimate and RMAing it every year as much and get a new replacement. Previously I had Logitech G900, it developed a double click. RMAed, got G903 hero instead, again developed a double click after 6 months and any fps with ADS was then uplayable cos it randomly zoomed in and instatly unzoomed due to double click issue. MY Corsair keyboard keeps breaking too so I am living on perpetuum mobile strategy, RMA the old stuff and use the money from the old one to purchase new stuff which will break within warranty period too, and repeat the cycle.
