I can't believe I missed this when it came out. Just binged the Monk series on Netflix, watched the movie on Peacock, then saw in an interview they mentioned they did this PSA. It's my mom's favorite, too! She watches the same ten or so episodes over and over again, all the time, like a 3-year-old watching Frozen (or whatever the current popular-among-small-children thing is). She identifies with Adrian Monk because she has OCD, too. She'll point out when they're portraying therapy incorrectly. 😂

oh my goodness. I love this. I'm a nurse and having been watch monk during my quarantine this week and I totally relate to monk in some of those old scenes. This really touched my heart. Thank all of you for your support. It makes a big difference in moral going into year 3 of this.

When we first met Mr. Monk, we all thought he was going way overboard. We all laughed at him. In the future, our children and grandchildren will watch those same episodes and comment how he was a visionary, just a little ahead of his time..... So great to see all our old friends again...🙂

I was lucky enough to be assigned to photograph both Tony Shalhoub and Traylor Howard in Sherman Oaks, CA for a magazine food story. They were two very nice people. I only started to watch Monk on MeTV and I love the show. I can’t miss one Sunday night. Great acting, casting and terrific writing. The show still holds up well. I would like to see a Monk movie or they start up another season.

@@JenniferM13 It must had been around 2005 or 2006. I would have to go into the garage to see if I photograph that with 2 1/4 film or digital. On a weekly magazine not all weeks we’re digitized back then. I think Ms. Howard had just recent joined the cast. If I find the pictures. I can scan a few images if I shot the story on film. Not sure if can unload them them here. I think I will look this weekend.
