This game has always been good. The problem is people making comparisons. Nah dude, thats why I like DNF the most, it's breaks away from the expected formula. Thats why people don't like it because they want to use what they already know instead of adapting to a different dynamic and skill requirment. Supposedly it is a balancing issue but i can't agree. If you pick rock into paper you are going to lose. So learn more of the characters and understand your match ups. That way you can pick a better match up.or if the only answer is a mirror you need to learn that too. The problem is people are so fixed on maining one character and that doesn't work as well in this game.

@@jonathanneves3459 No the game was factually a balance nightmare upon release. It is miles better now, but the main problem that was proven and documented was the insane damn near "kusoge" tear balance and the still to this day poor marketing thanks to Nexon. There is no "suppoesedly", ArcSys themselves even admitted to balance being a huge issue in year one of this game when doing balance changes. Literally nothing you said, made any sort of sense.

This is one of the only fighters that I have never played but love to watch. It seems so roundly broken, but I just don't have the time to learn combos and matchups. Beautiful game with absolutely brutal tech

its a relatively easy game to learn, comparatively to other fighting games. Depending on your character combos may take a while, like berserker for example. But aside from that, even matchups are fairly straight forward. Id definitely recommend if you have friends to play with. Online is dead lol

Dude is way easy to learn this game and combos, since the game doesnt have any complicated special moves, most moves are just one button + one directional button. Very very easy, also easy hitbox and timing. Dont worry just play it

​@@jewtsu412matchup is definetlly not straightforward. example: swiftmaster tornado does not beat ranger 5A, monk 2A does not combo to 5B on brawler and grappler, berserker 6S cannot stop launcher projectile.

@@blueperiodfan4725 game plans are so unbelievable one note on practically every character and this game leans towards footsies and away from mix-ups greatly (aside from high/low conversions). It's much easier to pickup on a matchup in footsies, I feel like I didn't have to study any character, I just played against them a few times and it was easy to figure out.

BRO PLEASE DON'T MOVE INTO THE TOP 3 PLEASE. So bad to give up SO MUCH. Not good. Just wait and see if Jayden drops past 3 at least. Cuz 3 is way too expensive, I just can't fathom not handing another first round pick for another 3 YEARS!!!!!!! Next year the only teams needing a QB high in the draft will be Cowboys, Jets, Dolphins and Raiders and I see all of those teams doing pretty well for themselves this coming season so all the teams that will draft first will not need QBs so much better odds! Most likely giving up less picks too, the only wild card teams that might want QBs will be the Rams, Eagles, Saints, 49ers and like I said not all that likely given that the Rams-Stafford, Eagles-Hurts, 49ers-Purdy, Saints-Carr. Next year much better chance. I still think we should have got either Wilson for a year or even trade for Fields to have for 1 year n then let him walk if the contract he wanted was too expensive I'm sure it still would have been worth the year he would have given us.

Every time I watch a tournament of this game I'm struck by how much it needs to die. All the fawning comments are just astonishing to me. This game is theoretically great, incredible smooth toon graphics, super good ambiance and atmosphere, but none of that mean anything frankly because the game is insanely unbalanced and it's obvious the developers never intend to fix it. The game has been out for how many years now I can't honestly remember, and it's still incredibly obvious overwhelmingly that ranger is clearly the best character. I don't mean that ranger is the only character that can ever win, because at the end of the day the player is a factor, and this really comes into focus when you watch the finals of this tournament, I think it's extremely clear that bluelinkys better player, I think taco was also better than the guy who made it to grand finals, but ranger is really just that much better. Gun hawk is still probably overall the best move in the game, the move where ranger spins in the air shooting downward is still probably the best corner pressure move in the game and 1 of the strongest moves in the game for guard break together with gun hawk in the corner. His damage is amazing too, combos are incredible, character is fantastic at any range but also the zoning tools are the best of any character in the game, besides for maybe launcher, who is just a weaker character in any case than ranger. If you would make a chart of every single tournament across all youtube channels and events, the number of them were ranger is top 3 versus other characters in the game is astonishing, I know because I was obsessed with this game when it first came out, and pretty much every single top 3 had a ranger. There are a whole roster of other characters that will show up in top 3 top 5 top 10, but you'll always find rangers. Because ranger is just the best character in this game, period. It's sad that the devs of this game don't care enough about the game to balance all the characters, but this is a very stupid game and if you play it because you want a good fair game you're just an idiot. I will throw in, to be fair, that swift master was maybe at 1 point almost as broken as ranger, and then they nerfed swift master. Same for launcher. But so what? Ranger was the best character when the game came out, even though some people were like no swift master is, go look at the early tournaments go watch them and you'll see that ranger was the best even then people just didn't realize it because swift master was so quick and flashy, and that doesn't even matter because the tier list is so strong in this game that the people on the bottom tiers you literally need to be much more skilled than your opponent to win with those characters, or get lucky and have your opponent make a stupid mistake or 2 since 2 combos is basically all you need in this game anyway. Even street fighter 6 which is probably the premier fighting game on the scene right now has balance issues, but the devs is take them very seriously, and are actively working to make the game fair in terms of you can pick any character on the roster and if your skill level is equal to the other persons you're not at a disadvantage because of who you picked. That's just not the case with dnf, and as much as I would love for this game to be what it could be, it's obviously never going to be that. It was fun to watch this tournament which I only came back to dnf duel because I wanted to see monk, so that was cool, but it's hard to imagine that I'm gonna keep watching these.

Short range characters in a long range game where your rushdown capacity is resource limited, basically everyone has a DP, and a large majority of normal's can hit from mid screen... fun to play but you realize quick your swimming against the current.
