Monk Synopsis: Adrian Monk (Emmy®-winner Tony Shalhoub) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department's most baffling cases. But after the tragic and still-unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, the devastated Monk becomes obsessive-compulsive. His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds... even milk. Monk's condition costs him his job, but he's back as a police consultant despite the unique challenges he encounters in his everyday life. These challenges lead Monk to hire a personal nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), who is always there to offer her assistance, even with the simplest of tasks (like organizing his sock drawer). Her less-than-subtle prodding keeps the "defective detective" on track in his investigations, as well as in his efforts to convince Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) to allow him to return to the force.
#Monk #AdrianMonk #TonyShalhoub
The Official Channel devoted to the brilliance of DI Adrian Monk; the defective San Franciscan detective, whose OCD is both a blessing and a curse. We'll be posting the very best moments from the show so, like Monk, you'll never miss a beat.

Nah I like Natalie more. She would give things up for Monk. She left a date once without monk having to call saying “my boss needs me” and her date said “how do you know?” And Natalie said “because he always needs me”. Whereas Sherona will tell him no, peace. Maybe cause I’m a bit of a people pleaser like Natalie but I relate to her character and I really appreciate her growth throughout the show. ❤ She started out being that way cause of her people pleasing personality.

Sharona covered all of Monk's work-related expenses (wipes, phone bills, gas, etc.) *without* ever asking for reimbursement; whereas Natalie complained about this on Day Two of her employment and pressured Monk to sell Trudy's office so that he can pay her more money. Sharona regularly accommodates and adjusts to inconveniences that he places on her, such as giving up her seat _(Mr. Monk And The Very, Very Old Man),_ letting him win an arm-wrestling match with her _(Mr. Monk And The Paperboy),_ etc. Sharona I felt was a much healthier balance of making sacrifices for Monk when necessary, but not taking it to the point of enabling or pandering to unhealthy behaviour; instead teaching him propriety skills in social situations that will help him become a better and more stable person. Granted, Sharona was his nurse. Natalie, his assistant. Different job descriptions, as such. That said, I think it's really neat to hear that you resonated with Natalie's character. I did not like her myself, but I think it's awesome that you enjoyed her for reasons of personal relatability. No judgement from me, on that score. :)

Spoiler alerts and also it’s been a little while since I’ve seen this episode but I remember a good bit of it so anyway: That jerk they were talking to in the penthouse killed his wife (I don’t remember what his given motive was but I’m guessing it’s bc he’s rich and felt like he could do anything he wanted) and then had to make it look like an accident, so he hired a look-alike to pretend to be his wife, had her be the one wearing the scarf, getting seen by 10+ people, then the look-alike got the scarf caught as she went back in the elevator alone. I believe the look alike then pulled herself up into the maintenance hatch on top of the elevator where the body of the guy’s wife was, she wrapped the scarf around the dead body’s neck and she pressed the fingerprint reader with the dead body’s thumb upside down. Then the lookalike climbed back up into the maintenance hatch, hidden. So when the panicked onlookers were finally able to see inside the elevator, it looked like the jerk’s wife had died due to the scarf choking her. Monk experienced being choked by a scarf in this clip and he remembered that the man’s wife had allegedly been screaming and calling out for help, which he realised she couldn’t possibly had been doing. That combined with the upside down finger print and some other things I can’t remember helped him solve the case
