This answers a question I've had since I first heard it, which was--did he just use the harmonica as a slide to make those transitions so fast? Absolutely brilliant.

I had no idea Terry was such an adept piano player, and it is fun to see Jim Hoke doing his magic. Are there more videos of these guys doing their alchemy?

unfortunately, though we shot the whole show back in 2012, this is the only surviving piece. The whole concert of Monk tunes can be heard on "Talk Thelonious".
