Fort time I saw that was my first semester in college fresh out of high school. I knew how it works because I saw it on tv and the second time I saw such a flyer it was just like the show with some missing. Weirdly they weren’t precut, but you could still understand how it works. This lady was older than me and had to have similar experiences. Hell she knew to take the number lol! Poor Monk ends up losing the garage.

The fact that the murderer guy took advantage of Monk (with who they've met one day before) and made him to pay them an expensive drink while obviously being the only person in the room who could afford things like this shows how unscrupulous he is. Great foreshadowing.

Even though Monk is summing up how he solved the case in this scene; at the same time, it's also one of those moments where he becomes his own worst enemy. In this case, it was by openly insulting the very person that he persuaded to vote in his favor, while she was within earshot.

It was like, "we saw this interesting portion of his life, and he's going to go on living and solving crimes... and all the other characters are reasonably happy, and he's happier and more healthy than the broken man we first met. Unlike say, " Chuck", where they intentionally ruin the happy ending in the last two episodes. It was a real eff U to the fans of the show.

Hard to say. I have custom made shirts and to make me feel good (I guess), they label says "Custom made for [My name], then the name of the company and then the washing instructions. Is this the same for custom companies? I dont know. If he did leave the tie (which would be stupid of him), then it might even have his name on the tipping, blade, or keeper depending on where the company labels their washing instructions/fabric type (aka "100% silk" or "100% linen" etc...)

Awesome underrated episode - unfortunately when it first aired it was overshadowed by having a notoriously misleading trailer. It implied that it was going to advance the Trudy plot saying that "you won't believe what he finds" in the garage, and with it being the season finale of the penultimate season it made it all the more believable. Turned out to be a nothingburger on that end. Still a very good episode though. Apparently there was a similar thing with the Man who Shot Santa.

The guy really needs to get a lawyer. All of that 'evidence' that Monk set forth is circumstantial at best, nowhere near enough for a conviction. Guilt has to be proven 'beyond a reasonable doubt', and that's never more important than with a crime that can result in a life sentence like murder.

I like Monk. But I think in some episodes, particularly this one, he is aloud to cross the line of upholding the hero. He speaks to the pregnant women in horrible ways. His particular genius has a down side when it comes to diplomacy. The police use him, but his angle on things is informative, but not representative of the force.

Yes, it's a lead investigators could follow. but like i said, that's irrelevant in court, not even close to enough for an arrest, let alone a conviction in court... It's so disconnected from reality you might as well have aliens involved and all the characters dressed up as furbee's. The point is, they're trying to make a 'reaslitic' scene that isn't even close to realistic, it's a joke. :)

@@scruffygaming627 It all depends on how rare the ties are in that part of the US. If he is the only buyer in the area - then it is real evidence. If he is the only buyer in the western half of the US then perhaps it is enough on its own. At a minimum its enough to get a search warrant and look for DNA evidence which would nail the case. Cops can arrest and hold you on suspicion while they look for other evidence. By the time he is released in a few days they would have executed the search warrants and gathered the key evidence. TV is unrealistic on the time for testing and ultimate conviction though. Weeks at a minimum; and often months.

As an autist I don't find monk to be remotely offensive or disgusting. I also don't interpret it the way you do. He's "basically magic" because he's one of the many characters inspired by and following the mould of Sherlock Holmes. He's just a character who has a certain set of traits. It sounds to me like you're finding reasons to be offended. If anything I see a character with obsessive-compulsive behaviour as the main protagonist who is depicted as commanding respect and being a relatively functional, contributing member of society, which is a relatively positive depiction of someone with a mental disorder.

As someone who actually has OCD, I recognize that this is not at all what it's like, but I am not in any way offended. It's an entertaining television show. Most people realize that it's a work of fiction played up for laughs. There is something called a remote, which allows you to change channels and not watch things which offend you. Only you can choose to be offended by things. Or you can let it go and worry about real life issues.
