I was actually in a social studies class taught by Peter. He was a well grounded person & very forthright about his travails & triumphs in the entertainment world. RIP 🎸

They were fun! Peter wasn't the only comic relief. They were all funny, and yeah they did some cool songs, with some great vocals. At first Mickey was my favorite ( after all the Beatles! ), but Mike Nesmith's songs tipped the scale in later albums. The girls said Peter was cute. I thought he was cool, and a fine musician! Peace RIP

I know I am among the few that didn't care for the Beatles but I loved loved loved the Monkees. So sad when Davy passed and now Peter. I guess I liked them so much not just because of their music talent but their sense of humor. Humor is how I cope with all of the stress in life (whatever works, right? LOL) so that's probably why I loved them so much their music and their humor. I love it as much now as I did then.

@@Pennst44 I understand not everyone is into humor like I am and that's ok but the Monkees were great with our without their humor.

I've noticed in my slightly younger friends the same thoughts of Monkee superiority. Those without the proper Beatles foundation are susceptible to this form of misplacement. That said, I Love the Monkees!

I played "Merry Go Round" on my PC to honour Peter Tork just now. It is my favourite Monkees song where Peter makes a solo stand as a singer. "Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky" was another of my favourites, but that isn't really even a song. Peter will be missed! ;(

I'm deeply saddened by hearing about the death of Peter Tork!! I was ALWAYS a HUGE "Monkees" fan when I was growing up. Some of my FAVORITES by them were.."Daydream Believer", "Mary Mary", and "Steppin' Stone". I know that now he's in a better place now with no more pain and suffering but it's still hard when we lose GREAT and famous people. Peter Tork will DEFINITELY be missed by MANY MANY fans. I remembered since last year, that Mike Nesmith had reformed a new lineup of the first national band. Which was a country rock band he formed in the early seventies and recorded three albums together. Now that Peter is gone, and Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith are the only surviving Monkees. Micky Dolenz should join Mike Nesmith's new lineup of the first national band, and with future shows of the Monkees. It should be known as Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and the first national band singing and playing the Monkees

Mike and Mickey have been touring together as the Mike and Mickey show since 2018. I personally had a ticket last years show when it was cancelled that day due to Mike heart condition. I also have a ticket to a PA show next month. Mike also toured last year with newly reformed First National Band Redux along with two of his sons which I also attended. If your a fan and you want to see them you'd better do it soon. Love you Peter...RIP.
