The music in MI is a large part of what makes the games so great imo, and god damn, did MI2 come out of the gate with an absolute banger in its opening scene. Regardless of the system or the power of the sound card, it's just perfect in every way for immersing you into the game's world.

I have played video games since 1985. But THIS game.... dont know how to explain... it feels my home.... everey time I hear this music... it feels so good. Im 42 and still a gamer, 35 years playing video games, I have played a LOT of games. But Monkey Island 2 is the only one that gives me that feeling.

The Microsoft GS sounds really off. It honestly sounds like you're playing the MT32-MIDI file through a regular General MIDI sound device which, because of the MT32's MIDI layout not conforming to the General MIDI standard, is a big no-no.
