Next AGDQ, there should be a block of all games played by people who hate them. We'll call it the "Grumble Pack" :D

Cool run, it was fun trying to figure out where we were in sun wukong's story as it went on

Funny that he called one of the enemies Goku, as Goku is heavily based on the Monkey King. Son Goku is even what they call both characters in Japan

Sun Wukong. :D
@mskain48965 жыл бұрын
Right, Sun Wukong is the Chinese name of the Monkey King, but the Japanese have unique names for every character and/or concept from Chinese and Indian history, mythology and philosophy that they inherit from them, and Son Goku is what they called the Monkey King--and, of course, the inspiration for the Dragonball protagonist, as far-off as the series ended up from its Journey to the West origins
@Tyler-sy7jo4 жыл бұрын
@@mskain4896 The name is only unique in how its said. As Japanese uses a lot of Chinese characters (The Chinese call their script "hanzi" or 漢字 which if you read that in Japanese says "kanji"), often they carry the same meaning in both languages. 孫悟空 Is how you write "Sun Wukong" in traditional Chinese script (simplified, modern script replaces the first character), and it is also how you write "Son Goku" in Japanese. The difference is only in what the Japanese call those three characters, not giving the character a completely new name.

They mentioned the cool music, but this game also has great graphics not just for a bootleg but for NES games as a whole. It's too bad it never got the polish it needed in the gameplay and programming department or else I expect it would be a cult classic rather than a sideshow.

The aesthetic of this game is pretty cool

As kusoge goes this game does indeed have some charm. It might be half-way decent if it wasn't so poorly programed. Thanks for sharing.

This totally ended up reminding me of Cloud Master. Makes sense, cloud master reminded me of "Monkey Magic".

This game needs a modern remake. Instrumental covers of the music, hi-res animated sprites and everything. It could be fun and pretty! Instead we got this xD

None of these are world record runs or times anyone cares about , show the fucking cutscenes , that’s actually the most interesting part , especially of a game like this that’s just a curiousity anyway , I want monkey cutscenes

@kevinwells97515 жыл бұрын
They actually do set WRs sometimes in GDQ runs, but either way we are supposed to see how these games are done in a speed run. You might as well say that they should play through games as intended since that shows off the most interesting parts
