This story is a very popular folk story in Malayalam.Once upon a time there was a naughty monkey lived in a forest. Every other animals were annoyed by him. One day during his usual circus on top of a branch the monkey fell down. His tale got injured. Monkey cried in pain, he decided to visit the nearby apothecary. The apothecary inspected the monkey's tail. He found it of no use. Apothecary took his knife and cut the tail apart. The monkey became furious He wanted his tail back or the apothecary's knife. Annoyed by the monkey's hues and cries the apothecary gave his knife to the monkey. The monkey became so happy and started his journey to a series of similar events. Watch the story.

This story is from Assam. Once upon a time, there was a poor farmer lived in a village of Assam. One hot day the farmer decided to take a bath from the nearby river and catch some crabs too. Crabs are very hot in the local market. The farmer tried till noon but only able to catch a bunch of crabs. The villager became so moody and tired. He sat under a tree and fell asleep. The tree was the home of a pack of monkeys. The monkeys were watching his struggle. They felt empathy for the man and decided to fill his basket with crabs. Within minutes monkeys got crabs and filled his basket. Then they decided to wake the man up. The villager was in deep sleep and the monkeys thought he was dead. They decided to carry him to the border of the village and did so. The man woke up after some time. He found himself near the village and his basket filled with crabs. He thought its the blessing of the goddess and the story became so popular in the village. One day a greedy neighbour of the villager decided to repeat the story. What happened next? Watch the story.
