It's very rare. In fact, this is one of the first that I've seen. Most are killed or abandoned at about 2 yrs old.

Ijs The only time they get returned is when they are uncontrollable due to lack of discipline or due to their own personal demeanor being to aggressive even with discipline.

I thought he must be adult age now . He is very strong isn’t he. How do you cope when he gets angry when he can’t do something? We had chimpanzees outside where I lived and they used to get really angry if they couldn’t open a coconut or someone stole their fruit . He loves you very much I can tell . 5 years old . I already asked the lady who said she got him from another family when he was 5 months old. He is a very different proposition to the poor new born babies snared in the bush . I think he and mummy have rather a sweet relationship she shows great patience when he is not in the mood to play ball .
