Not gonna lie seeing you with Boo made me want a monkey so bad, but I’ve heard how you speak about the sheer responsibility it is and honestly a dog is more than enough to handle as is so Ill stick to that. @@thesouthernlife4061 I don't think it's hypocritical at all the truth is many probably would regret it and realize the responsibility is quite high. There are times I don't even like having to deal with my cat and cats are generally considered low maintenance animals. There are just animals that require a lot more care and patience and the thought that an intelligent animal requires more care seems counterintuitive but it's true. Like racoons and probably moreso monkeys are highly intelligent animals meaning they are curious and can and do figure things out and get into things they're not supposed to. So imagine many people who like the idea of having an animal like this many of whom aren't willing to do the necessary research or somehow think it will be different for them and then get a monkey or worse more than one and aren't at all ready to deal with the needs that they require. I don't think it's like there are only a few special people that can be handlers but probably that it's really a time commitment and requires a lot of patience and a degree of education on them to be able to really put in what's required.
