Sorry for the off-topic question. I sometimes get a question in my head that would be directed to atheists and you guys always pop in my head. How do atheists explain the advancement in humans? I imagine evolution is something you all do believe in. Not adaptation, but full-blown evolution that says we came from a simple organism millions of years ago and turned into what we are today. Why is it that us humans advanced so much further than any other animal, on an intellectual level? At the very beginning, the Bible says we are created in the image of God. From a Christian worldview, this matches what we see about humans vs other animals. There is something special or different about us.... But why is there something special or different about us vs other animals from an atheistic or evolutionary worldview? I feel like we could give all other animals another million years and they still wouldn't be where we are today on an intellectual level. The technology, art, laws, cities, structures, diets, etc... that we have created is astonishing compared to animals. Elephants and monkeys are considered to be some of the more intelligent creatures below humans... but I don't see them ever accomplishing what we've accomplished.

Did you know that the human brain takes up around 20% of the energy the human body produces? In other mammals it is around 9% for chimpanzees and 3-5% for others. That is a huge investment, both directly and for the evolutionary path. Just like flying for birds is. But evolution is not a guided process, so there is no-one who says "this will work well". You have to remember that a lot of species, are hundreds of millions of years old. Sharks are older than trees, so human intelligence is clearly not needed for what evolution is: Survival in your enviormental niche. Intelligence can be an advantage for survival, as do size and sharp claws can be, but only when the enviroment is right. When the dinosaur megafauna died, the small, weaker mammals took over, they needed far less energy to survive and could adapt better. Humans are a very, very young species, and already we see the possibility of total destruction of our species, through the tools our intelligence provides. It is not uncommen that a species can destroy their own niche, but we humans are capable of it on a scale, that is unheard of. Just think about the cold war, and how close we were to total nuclear annihilation. Intelligence, is a two sided sword. "At the very beginning, the Bible says we are created in the image of God. Why can birds fly? Why can lizards regenerate limbs? Why can some sharks live over 400 years? Why can animals sense electric fields? Or can see in the ultraviolet or IR spectrum? Why can birds sense the magnetic field of the Earth? We are special, because we are special to us. It's that simple. If we can use our intelligence, yes that gives us a big advantage. But how long did it take us to come to todays technology? And remember: Every human advancement in technology, everything that gives us an edge, didn't come from any god or religion. And still we are so "special", that a bacterium or virus spread by a moskito can just kill us. No. We are just a differend species of animals. And of course the Bibel is totaly wrong here, because the DNA evidence makes it absolutly 100% clear, that we are not special or different. We are just better at one thing other animals also do: Thinking. Is a sparrow special, because it can fly better than a chicken? The problem here is that you "feel" about it, instead of learning about what evolution is and how it works. Guess what, in a million years, we humans still can't fly by flapping our arms. That is not how evolution works. Learn about it, not from creationists, from real modern science. Because that explains ALL of your questions in detail and has exhaustive answers. The difference is, it takes efford to do that. It is not like the Bible who just says: "god did it" Real sciene build up on another, you can always follow were something comes from. It gives you answers, that will lead to more question, and more answers. Christianity has ONE book. Biology alone fills whole libaries. Yes, it will take way more effored to understand something like evolution, than it does to follow genesis, to follow the bible. But the theory of evolution can explain everything you ask in detail. The Bible only has: "god did it" Don't limit yourself.

It's amazing how some people still don't understand how categories work. A fatty acid is a type of lipid. So all fatty acids are lipids. There are other types of lipids, such as phospholipids. This means that not all lipids are fatty acids. Because a phospholipid is not a fatty acid. It's like saying that all cars are vehicles. But not all vehicles are cars. For example, a truck is a vehicle, but it's not a car. This isn't a hard concept... for most people.

This seems like an aptly titled video to re-introduce myself, and reach out regarding another opportunity to debate. Honestly, making my "internet manifesto" (what they'll call it at least) hasn't been priority numero uno, but did a little bit of work, and was able to make at least an outline. Will shoot You an email: but wanted to come back on and explain my ideas if You'll have me! My argument is that this is genuinely THE ONE TRUE RELIGION. Here are our tenets: 1. REPENT! Everything Is Boobs! Allahu Akbar! 2. The Path to Heaven involves singing 3. My Mom (personally, my own Mother) is THE Anti-Christ. (Not, "boohoo, my parents were mean", but actually is THE Anti-Christ: explains a lot of human history as well) 4. Jesus Is Plants (Food Crops, specifically) 5. God Is Food! 6. The Holy Trinity? Beef, Bread, Eggs and Cheese! This may seem silly at first, but there is WAY MORE to this than seems possible at first glance! That or it's just me being crazy (a not-zero probability possibility), but the only way to find out is getting outside input. Remember: if it's one person saying it, they're probably just very sick. If TWO PEOPLE are saying it (in harmony), they're probably just a couple of faggots. But could you imagine in it? Three people, all hearing this out, and arriving at the same realization? And could you imagine: FIFTY PEOPLE A DAY all watching a KZbin video and coming to the same conclusions? Why friends, they may think it's some kind of organization: They may think it's a movement! Anf friends: it is! The "God Is Food, Dealing With The Anti-Christ's Shenanigans Movement!"
