MBS is worth every single penny! Christian fixes all the problems, that Claris leaves us with 😀 In the last version he kindly implemented a function, that I had asked him to put in: you can now in- or outdent the highlighted text in the formula editor. e.g. when you use a "let" statement and want to keep things nice and clear.

Auto-complete of variables in Script Workspace was been AWESOME, especially since 1) spelling mistakes go away and 2) you can now easily use longer descriptive variable names, with no typing performance penalty as auto-complete fills it in.

Hi Matt. This looks awesome, but I'm not seeing a free version with limited features. At least not in Windows. Just installing the plugin has it running 'demo' mode and clicking the Configure button brings up a form for entering the license. I can see in your video that you are running the plugin in Trial mode, but the Trial License Request page says "If Monkeybread Software decides to send you a license key, the key will be valid for a few weeks and then expire." and "Please remember that you can try all functions without a license key in demo mode." The docs that come with the installer say demo mode will pop up a warning dialog every few minutes and "the plugin can decide to stop working after 2 hours of usage..." Is this "free mode" just an undocumented benefit that sticks around after the trial mode expires?

Hmnnn, I've not installed/used the Windows version because I'm typically on a Mac. From having worked with the Mac version I would assume the Windows version is behaving the same way and I've not seen any nagging. I'll ask Christian (the developer) to verify this.

The video shows all the macOS features for developers. For Windows we got recently a search box for relationships with the last release. So the plugin may not be as useful for you in this regard, but maybe the 4000+ functions supported on Windows may help you?

I have the same problem with W11 & Filemaker 18 Pro. I have installed the plugin. When I go to Plug-Ins/Preferences to Configure the MBS Plug-in I am presented with enter License screen and a button to Purchase.

Is there a script available to take a snapshot using the iMac's internal camera when a record is created or a button is pressed and have that photo stored in the record.

Answer: Sorry, but you look for features on Windows, which only exist on MacOS. You could get a Mac or just use the functions for Windows. For Windows we have: * Relationship graph search * Snippets database example and snippet picker hotkey example * 4700 functions for Windows.

We are looking into buying this banana software, it is most the terminal stuff made available in FileMaker. Not sure how to make it work PSoS though.

Running the plug-in on FileMaker server simply saves you from having to install and target the respective libraries. For example, you don't have to install ImageMagick if you just want to manipulate things. You put the plug-in on server and you can use PSOS to modify any graphics. The biggest benefit being you don't have to read/write out to the OS. Operations can happen directly within FileMaker/memory and directly with containers. The reduced amount of time managing dependancies is the biggest win/argument for using the plug-in though - at least in my opinon.

This plugin is not useful at all, for people who use windows . Most functions are designed for Mac only.

Unfortunately, due to how the Windows operating system works, there is a significantly less functionality. It's not a reflection of the plug-in features as much as it is to Windows. If the plug-in does have what you need for the Windows side of things then it does have some value. I appreciate your candor however!
