Angling the bench during hamstring curls and using it to support the knee/thigh is a great idea! I was making that so much more complicated. I also like the idea of the pad on the barbell to stabilize the knee. Thank you!

The only problem with using the bench in that way is you don’t really get a full stretch on the hamstring at the bottom position. What I like to do instead is use a decline bench and face the other direction. That way the seat on the bench doesn’t prevent you from fully extending!

These can definitely be used for hypertrophy training, it just depends on the weight/rep ranges used. We have a ton of customers using these for bodybuilding! They are especially effective for isolating hamstring curls
