keyboard doesn't really matter in typing. you can get good with anything. mechanical keyboards in general better than membrane ones, but it's not that big of a deal, some people type 240wpm on slim keyboards (similar to laptop).

@@_dr_9869 keyboard doesnt matter as long as your keyboard isnt terrible. Im easily 20 wpm slower on a 5 dollar "mechanical keyboard" that i bought off of amazon than my laptop, despite using it more than the latter.

Honestly in my opinion mechanical keyboards and membrame keyboards are pretty easy to type on. The highest wpm I could ever get on a school laptop for 15s monkeytype is 190. Something. Granted its significantly harder to type on a school laptop given the fact that its sort of hard to get used to. Since school laptops aren't made very well at all for me they break every couple months so having a good keyboard to type on like a mechanical keyboard is better.

i would say that deafult russian layout is way more center-oriented (as opposed to qwerty being more peripheral). also in terms of hand usage (with default home row typing) russian layout is more right-handed (qwerty is more left-handed). they have some similarities and i guess that they were created out of similar principles, but in general i would say they are fairly distinct. (also sorry for not answering earlier)

and strictly speaking Monkeytype doesn't allow you to submit scores that under 75% accuracy (they doesn't show up in the database). so technically you couldn't mash 300 wpm and save it as a result because of accuracy restrictments.

i could debate about this for hours on end, but in short my typing technique is heavily dependent on membrane kb's restrictments (like you can't press 4 keys at a time, you need to fully press each key, etc.), so for me it probably wouldn't make a difference (but anyways i don't even type that much nowadays so whatever).

я печатаю 7 пальцами(безымянные, средние, указательные, правый большой на пробел). какой текст в видео был - уже не помню, но вполне может быть, что там просто было мало краевых букв и безымянные особо не использовались.

на русском чаще используют термин "брутто" (по крайней мере, на Клавогонках так закрепилось). по сути какая скорость была бы без ошибок. на деле я уже не помню почему я это видео выложила, но тогда вроде казалось, что я бы на свой максимум проехала (сейчас у меня рекорд 227/255 на 15 секундах) и не прямо мэшингом (не с 60% аккуратностью).
