THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS ONE OF THE GUILTIEST ENTITIES RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR MASSIVE OVER-POPULATION PROBLEM IN THE WORLD AND ALL THE EXTREME MISERY AND UNSPEAKABLE SUFFERING WHICH IS CAUSED BY IT. The sooner we get rid of Catholicism the sooner the world can heal from the Church's centuries of evil it has caused to the world. Just as Jesus condemned the evil Pharisees, the church of His time, so should we condemn and be rid of the evil that is the Catholic Church.

We're still friends today and my wife and I have been married for nearly 30 years! Together we have 15 kids including grandkids. Life has been good praise GOD; and it ain't over yet!

The more simplistic a monastery' chapel is, for me, the more beautiful. Christ did not live in wealth and fanciful things, but in the ways of the poor and the simplistic. Beautiful residence, monks... God bless you all. Jesus, have mercy on us poor sinners, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen!

Iconoclasts can be ominous. I prefer the full spectrum from Chartres Cathedral to the Pieta to Palestrina. Franciscans gladly make room for Benedictines and Jesuits, etc. Each charism has its gifts to offer the Body.
@raphaelledesma9393 Жыл бұрын
I think we can have legitimate tastes on simplicity and ostentation. But remember that Christ humbled Himself and was then exalted. We as His followers and worshippers must also exalt Him. This through our deeds and faith most importantly and also through our churches and liturgy. If simplicity is beautiful in your eyes then go. What I disagree with is that poor looking churches are better because Christ was poor. Let us not impoverish the God of heaven and earth in our churches when our States have beautiful government buildings.

+Giuseppe The monks ARE doing a lot, firstly through prayer as well as touching peoples lives who visit there and get inspired by them. Prayer is FIRST and MOST important in the Christians life. Without God we can do nothing and prayer brings us closer to God. So, no these people are NOT useless to God but instead are doing much for him.
@vinc-e019 жыл бұрын
+Giuseppe How do you know that they have no actions? Why be so judgmental when you know so little about their lives and only the little that you have seen? God alone knows about their lives and it is for God that they are living their lives so who are you to judge? I am certain they are loving their neighbour as they ought.
@vinc-e019 жыл бұрын
+Giuseppe no, actions for God. All you need to do is research the saints and you will find that the majority lived a religious life and a religious life is firstly centred on prayer.
@vinc-e019 жыл бұрын
+Giuseppe Would you mind telling me please where in the bible that it says that Jesus despised religion? In Matthew 26:17 it says that the disciples asked Jesus where he would want them to prepare for him to eat the passover. The passover is a Jewish religious event and Jesus actually told them where and how he wanted them to prepare for it. If he despised religion as you say, he would of told them to not bother with the passover.
@vinc-e019 жыл бұрын
+Giuseppe Jewish tradition as part of the Jewish religion. If Jesus integrated in his culture then that means it was totally important as he is God in the flesh. Not sure how you conclude that those monks don't think that they are sinful. Yes they are just like everyone else and seek God as others do.

It may not be for you , but it is for these monks , holy blessed men....I am called but unfortunately will have to live in the outside world as a Cenobite , due to age. But , unfortunately people don't undertstand because they have not had experiential knowledge of God in a supernatural way ( meaning beyond what man can do or produce prayer wise). When these higher gifts are received , life /God is Sublime , profound , well honestly there are just no words to describe his Majesty ! Mercy Lord .

Friend, we are not saved by good works. Lets see what The Bible says: Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Romans 4:4-6 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works. Romans 3:24-26 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Acts 16:30-31 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. It is evident by these verses that salvation is by faith alone and not works.
