I hate the run around they give you. My neighbors side of a duplex was on fire and here’s me trying to get someone over here to put it out if or before it spread to ours. My mum ended up snatching the phone off me and tell her to hurry up. Luckily our units were designed to contain fires to one unit.

I’m in Australia. But your point still stands. There needs to be a standard. I can’t remember exactly what happened but I remember her taking a while to get what information I was giving her. Another time I called 000 (or 911) when I saw a bike rider get hit by a car. The person on the phone got only a small bit of info but it was enough to let me know that there was someone closer to the accident that could give more details so I could hang up. That is somewhat how I got introduced to the series - within a burning house. Long story short, I am visiting my friend’s house, and I am standing _just_ like Adrian, and I get asked a question. As I am answering, I adjust some books… just like Adrian, and my friend’s mom says "Do you watch Monk?". And, the rest is history. I find it interesting that I did things just like Adrian Monk, without realizing it. A major difference is that I don’t have a milk phobia.

So when tommy came along and was like a son to him. I know monk is probably thinking that could have been him and Trudy with a kid. And Monk having to give up Tommy to a another family was the right thing to do but was painful to watch. I mean eventually Trudys daughter who she thought died comes around into Monks life but the whole Tommy thing was just sad and a dream he wanted and wished for with Trudy. Didn’t include the one where he fist fights the werewolf death squad? It was the episode where he was transported into the future so he could be taken into the past to solve a murder done by Moon cult in 1375. The leader used his magic to summon a werewolf death squad from space and the future to kill his cousin so he could become king of Alpha centauri. Monk had to build a battle mech but couldn’t use it as the left Gatling cannon was 2 inches shorter than the right one making it of course totally unusable. So he went around through time to learn all the fighting styles ever developed and then went back to fight the werewolves. He defeated them using the new skills he learned and by using a gun he found in a box labeled “Open and a se in case of werewolf death squads from the future if you are in the past and learned all the fighting styles.” He defeated the werewolves and traveled forwards in time to go back in time to his present in the past of his future. Think it was a season 4 episode or a fever dream either one.
