Hey CGB! This is the Dimir Control player…and you were right, one land away from a shadow’s verdict there. I don’t regret the Jwari play, had trust the deck would provide, but it didn’t obviously. Wanted to say thanks for the good games (played against you again today and tried this deck lol) and thanks for the uploads. Found you last year when I needed something to get my mind of the craziness of the lockdowns. After watching you and being exposed to other players, made mythic numbers for the first time ever. Thanks for the great and consistent content. Glad the game gave you the content you wanted for the vid

I found your channel not long after mtga began. At that time I watched merchant and noxious and then megamogwai. But although I love magic I also saw the problems that came with mtga and stopped playing it. I think noxious had some impact on that :D Long story short: They are all gone now but you remained. And you showed me what true dedication and love to a game looks like. I watched the first videos of the streak without knowing that it would be a streak. I watched them in times wen I was down, when I was eating and mostly before going to bed :D I am happy to be here such a long time and I will continue to watch because I like your videos. Monogreen is just amazing right now. Before seeing your video, I had made a list almost similar to yours, but with different one-drops and Gnarled Professor. While I still abide by the professor (another trampler, who can bring answers to pesky enchantments or just any other custom lesson answers), I'll definitely incorporate Oran-Rief Ooze. Really shines in this deck, together with the Chariot and the Troll. Congrats on the 888th video!

3 cards that I think need considered: Instrument of the Bards Jorn Blessing of Frost Jorn is just amazing. Importantly, he meets the pack threshold with werewolf. Having access to 8 mana from land sources on turn 4? Ridiculous in a deck where everything costs 4 or less. Blessing is a great way to 1. Draw usually at least 2 cards, and 2, get Jorn/Wolf to a safe toughness level to attack without dying. Even when wolf might be the only thing on the board, you can make it a 7/7 and effectively draw 2. Instrument is a bit hit or miss. Ideally you don't need it but when you have no creatures to play, paying 4 mana for a Werewolf or Jorn you can play immediately on 6 or 7 mana is very nice.

I've been grinding esper control variants on the 2022 queue and by lord are these man-lands good. Vanishing verse can hit most, and you can push sacrifice effects quite hard, but the pressure never really stops while they're down, and even packing 4 lithoform blight isnt enough. I would definitely go for all 8 man-lands in this deck. Esika's Chariot i think is one of the sleeper power-houses of this format, there may very well be a good deck anywhere you can take advantage of it, either by effectively giving your 4-power plays immediate impact or by scaling up the 3 bodies it provides. It has the same resilience as the man-lands, minus the case of prismari command, and even then youre likely ahead in that trade.

Sweet deck! Didn't have 4x of everything from the list so I added two Battle Mammoths at the top end. Slightly higher curve but seemed to be worth it. 6/5 four drop with trample turned out to be a good tempo play most of the time and the card draw on targeting occasionally helped out.

I love this deck. I am a fan of big green creatures, so looking at the deck list and seeing the biggest green creature at a 4/4 made me a bit skeptical. Also, I pulled the shamblers and put in a playset of Gnoll Hunters for their synergy with the +1/+1 counters. I've been playing the standard best of one. This falls regularly to deathtouch and often enough to mutate. But when I can get it going, which is more than half the time, I can either go tall with lots of counters or go wide with lots of tokens provided by the Chariot. Occasionally it has gone both tall and wide - those are really fun games for me, but probably sucks for my opponent. The Lair has won me quite a few games by either being that surprise blocker when they attack with everything for lethal or being that one extra attacker to push my attack over the lethal mark.

Honestly, the mono green deck is really good...BUT...I've found the secret sauce. It's something everyone hated before and they hate it still. Mill. I hate mill. I hate playing it. But, it has some really interesting play lines now without Drown and Into the Story from Eldraine. You're constantly towing the line between doing enough about the board to stay alive and milling. I've had some super interesting games (at least for me), and the win rate is absurd. I know, I know...sample sizes and all. Played it in 46 games so far. The first iteration went 7-4, the current iteration is 29-6. Crab, Windrobber, Thought Thief's, counters/removal, Cacophony, Hideous Laughter...all in a snow package with a couple of Havens (more for defensive, run 28 lands total between MDFCs, havens, etc). To anyone who enjoyed rogues, you'll probably love it. I'll get sick of it within a day or two just like rogues. Hope CGB plays a version of it soon as it is insanely powerful. Tasha's Hideous Laughter is gross, especially against mono white. Exile half your library for 3 mana, thanks. Love the videos as always. From my experience, in the Bo1 2021 format, mill is better than the Mono Green deck, but not by much. Really shocked no one else is playing it.

In the 22 format, neither of the two best 2-mana instant speed removal spells (Vanishing Verse and Power Word Kill) can hit Faceless Haven. And other interaction like sweepers, Divide by Zero, and Bloodchief's Thirst obviously doesn't hit it either.
