I was driving up from LA to Lake Tahoe abt 10 yrs ago and stopped at Mono Lake late afternoon, the sun had gone down over the mountains and it was dusk. I got out of the car to look at the lake from the lookout spot off 395 northbound. There were no cars coming from either direction. It was getting dark, it was quiet & breezy. I stood there for a few minutes and I'm tellin ya, that place is haunted, there were definitely ghosts all over the place. i walked back to my car and got the fk out of there. You wouldn't want to be there alone at night

Interesting. For me being alone on the lake I only experienced peace and solitude. My goal is to spend the night on the island which was once a sanatorium for TB patients…
