Exciting to see TAG modernize the somewhat stale F1 line. They look much more like modern F1, in both good ways (sleek, lighter weight, angular, better materials) and bad ways (probably too big, flashy colors, price tag)

This one looks great. Titanium & excellent size for my wrist. I’ll have to behave myself to get the missus to agree to get this. Tag doing exciting things.

More considered design which is nice to see. The Tag Heuer F1 has long been a gateway watch for a lot of aspiring collectors, lets hope they introduce smaller quartz versions to keep that position within the market.
@Monochrome-watches5 күн бұрын
The gateway-part is very true, which this one pretty much isn't given the new prices. Then again, it's a definite step up for the collection in terms of design, materials and finishing! It's very good!

@@Monochrome-watches great to see Tag Heuer levelling up the F1 collection though. More inline with F1 itself with innovative design and use of materials. Would be a shame if there wasn't an entry level model. Maybe they could just relaunch the KITH collab F1's without the KITH association as the new gateway watch 😄

I'm not sure I am the right target for these, but I wouldn't mind if they were say 42mm instead, not a bad revamp. I hope TAG will release a new entry level F1 (non-chrono) along the lines of a modernized version of the Kith collab from last year. That would be great to see, hopefully without the Kith markup.

Insane price

It's a bit pricey, indeed, but it does have a lot going for it! At least its a far more stand-alone design now!

These things are monsters at 44mm. I guess they didn’t get the notice to make watches sized 42mm and below and not the power reserve 42 hours. Unfortunate

In reality, as mentioned in the video, the new design is actually smaller than the outgoing one. It's slimmer, and shorter from end to end and thus wears quite well! The reason is the sloping edges of the case and the angle the strap attaches at. Works quite well!

TAG Heuer has better movements than this sellita based watch. That said, that makes thw watch kind of attainable. People complaing about just 42 hours of power reserve but common.... this is a weekend watch, not a weekday watch, so it wont be in a drawer friday to monday unless you work for a F1 team. Though 44mm seems to be big, they reduced de lug to lug. Titanium is the right material for the watch, DLC models make this watch more interesting. My big and probably one con is the propietary rubbet strap.

The sloped ends of the case and the angle the strap is attached at keep it very wearable! It sounds big on paper, but in fact it's slimmer and shorter from end to end than the outgoing models, as mentioned in the video.

@@PatrykPoreba-vu1me There are lots of watches around this price range with 48-72 hour reserves. 42 is not even trying. This movement is ancient and is based on an old Selita
