I completely agree, and it fits Kizu perfectly. The two voices, young and old, the buildup, the sad piano. The story of Kizu is a tragedy, a love story, and a prologue to the series as a whole. 10/10 song for the movies.

Monogatari is one of those shows you gotta stick to cuz it is very confusing at the start but once you understand what the show is about, you appreciate a whole lot more. I started it and it was at best a 7/10 for the first 2 seasons then i watched monogatari second season and was blown away at how good it was. When i finished it all i wemt back to watch the first 2 seasons and realized how amazing this show is from the start. Please give monogatari a shot

at first i didnt want to start a long series, because i want to finish things in one sitting if i can. but the way the show was structred, the layers in story telling, the complexity compared to most of the usual anime, and the very abstract "artistry" type of visuals are just something i havent seen anywhere else. it always impresses me how you can write a story that deep and also portray so many things in a coherent and abstract way

Nice You could also take a look at tsukimonogatari OSTs. There are a few sad ones there as well. Like "owari no hajimari" and "zetsubouteki no kaitou" but maybe transcribing those for piano would be difficult.

Doesn’t it represent the like 400 years Kiss Shot has been alone? While the lyrics are more about what her and Araragi now have? I haven’t looked too much into the song but I think it fits especially with the words they say to each other in Kizu III and then later, Owari 2 Either way love songs can be sorrowful and sad so yeah.
