When I saw RIchard Harvey as the creator of this project it was an INSTANT BUY. Downloading as we speak. I've been extremely happy with every library Richard has created with OT as they are always innovative and with superb recordings quality. Monolith will find a lot of use around my studio.

I have tested this library for some time now and can in all honesty say that it is fantastic. There are so many good drum libraries out there but this library is on another level. The quality of the samples, especially in the lower velocity range is just unbelieveable and the best I´ve ever heard, so far. But dont let that fool you. The library can get LOUD and still sounds crazy good. Highly recommended!

Richard has been a really good collaboration. I'm happy that the recordings and available articulations/RRs have improved over time (Phoenix felt a little light).

Outstanding collection of drums! African Baobab drums are my favorite from the walkthrough.

Cool that they got Bill Nighy to narrate this.

I've been playing this tonight. So much fun. Well sampled. The three menus (ensemble, solo, and processed) are so useful. Love the velocity sensitivity of the samples. I'd say this is up there with Damage 2 as far as quality goes. Fantastic library!

Nice overview. Informative. Unexpectedly for a KZbin video, I had to crank up the sound to hear the drums when demoed alone.

I'm a bit confused. The videos show a number of people performing some sort of piece. But, there aren't any performance loops in this package, are there?
@Orchestral-Tools

No, there are not. However - there are 'ensemble patches' which feature multiple players performing multiple drums at once.

This is the only Richard Harvey collaboration I haven't been interested in. I feel like the only reason I'd want this is to avoid sorting through my already massive amount of percussion libraries. The fact they're all recorded in the same room might help with mixing, but the nuance of that cohesive sound will be lost to anyone other than the person making the track. I nonetheless look forward to your next collaboration. All the best.
