Only a true genius uses his anxiety to open up the crowd to his character and loose them up. I know everyone talks about how talented he is but I really would like to point out how BRAVE he is. I have anxiety and it takes allot to just say it out loud, let alone helping people through it by being open. Incredible. Just incredible.

John Mulaney (who also deals with anxiety) knew he’d be nervous, so he wrote it into Bill’s monologue. I, too, have anxiety, and I’m so proud of Bill. I could not get up there and do that.

Nobody this good-looking will be funny! Oh, he's doing *Pacino*?' But look what happened. He grew and so did I and I found out he was worthy. It'll be funnier again. Don't worry.

That's Lenny Pickett, musical director for SNL and sax player for Tower of Power (plus lots of other stuff). He plays the insane sax at the end of each episode (song "A Waltz in A", that lots of people want playing at funerals, me included). The fact they didn't hide it is a lot like the rest of the skit - it's deliberately transparent, which makes me feel more a part of it.
