Monopoly Guardians of the Galaxy by Purge Reviews: Does the Guardians add anything to the game?

This looks like such a rip-off, cash-in, easy-lazy production, like so many Monopoly versions that I've seen. If you like Monopoly the theme, sure, go ahead. But otherwise, I'd keep this at a distance and not touch this at all. When I was a kid, I used to "like" Monopoly, in the sense that if I had to pick between Monopoly and Rummikub, Monopoly would win. But I've long since passed that station and try to avoid playing it. What on Earth does a "Free Parking" slot have to do with Guardians of the Galaxy? They didn't even bother to give the corners any type of thematic look. And what's with the pions they tossed in? Why is Groot a character you can choose, but none of the others? How is it that Star-Lords mask can own characters? Why can you buy the good guys and Thanos, and there not be a problem if you (as a player) own both of them? There is strive between them, after all. This game is such a thematic miss and an absolute hard pass for me, much like any Monopoly based on the original. If it's your thing, please, by all means, do enjoy it. I'm all for diversity in games. Doesn't mean I have to like specific games. Thanks for the video.

Yeah, I bought this one for the kids and it hardly if never gets played anymore. Ugh. What we do for the kids.
