Going to jail in late-game is actually a huge blessing. You already have enough property at that point to collect money from other players, while completely avoiding having yo navigate through your opponents’ properties

The boys and I always played monopoly in the mental hospital. It had every piece. The sheer amount of respect for the game due to the fact that it was the only thing keeping us sane was just beautiful. If you can, maybe donate board games or card games to hospitals that take donations! It makes a massive difference being able to do something in there.

I have a pretty chaotic personal way of playing Monopoly, and if you play like this, you will consider flipping a table or 2. -hotels are now “Investment Centers”, if a player lands on an Investment Center they own, they roll a dice (if you roll a 1-3, multiply your money by 1.5x, if you roll a 4-6 you collect 2x your money) -all fees go into the center of the board,you can collect half of these fees if you are the first to pass Free Parking twice (You can still collect all fees by landing on Free Parking) -Loans are allowed. -if you land on GO you collect 400$ instead of 200$ -if a player lands on another players house, and the owner does not call it out before the next player rolls, the player who owns the house cannot demand money later in the game. -when a player is bankrupt, the total net worth of the player is split across all players and the houses, train stations, etc. are handed off to the bank and can be bought by other players.
