In the clue board game if you had an idea but weren’t fully confident you would want to make a SUGGESTION (unlike an accusation you had to be in a room to do this) and if you were wrong you were just told why (someone else having one of the cards or whatever) and there was no consequence outside of your turn ending but making an accusation and being incorrect was an automatic loss

I always chose the dog because I could make him hike his leg on people on the game board to taunt them (IRL). Similar tactics also work in Street Fighter and other couch games, like Contra on waterfall stage or Joust turned accidental fighting game. Gotta get in their heads to win, sometimes.
