"WE OWE SO MUCH TO ECCLESTONE". Why do we? He's an actor who got paid handsomely for a plum role at the BBC. He was a great Doctor. But, given the budget and writing (at the time), any half-decent actor could've had the same success. Let's all bow down to the millionaire actor... nope.

And as that 'wayward child' 🙄 I can tell you who I owe so much to. My parents. Who made sure I never went hungry, was well clothed and schooled and always gave me a roof over my head. I owe it to the teachers who educated me. The doctors who look after my health. The farmers who grow crops so i can eat well. The bus driver who gets me where i need to go. Etc etc. ie the real people who do make a difference to my life. I owe nothing to entertainers who get paid to entertain. If they had cast Ken Dodd as the Doctor in 2005 and it got cancelled after one series, it wouldn't have affected me at all.

He's raising 2 teenagers, which is expensive, and he needs adequate funds to be the best dad he can be. Chris is very clear that Acting is his Job. And he was lied about and blacklisted by the BBC and the writers/producers after he proved they committed abhorrent workers' rights violations. His career was virtually destroyed. So money is the only reason he's currently associated with the Doctor Who franchise at all. And he wants that to be very, very clear.

The only problem is the host is trying to do a normal Doctor Who panel with three actors who had the most interesting, nuanced, and shortchanged experiences with the role. “Who’s your favorite Doctor?” more like “Did you want more?” “What needs to change?” “Why have you returned?”

What a panel ... I would seriously love to meet stars of Doctor Who even if it were just like this and get to ask them any burning questions I might have

I think Paul McGann would still make a great Dr Who. I know he did the audiobooks, but no real screen time. He never got a chance. That seems to be off the cards now. They probably won't want another straight white guy.

Excellent interview Colin Baker and Nicola and Paul McGann and Chris Eccleston; Colin Baker as the sixth Doctor 1984-1987 whines adventure’s carry on into big finish audio company Doctor Who adventures right to his regeneration episode set in 1987; and Paul McGann acted as the Eighth Doctor 1996-2001 his adventures yes started in the Doctor Who TV Movie May 1996 but continued in BBC books and audios and Doctor Who magazines comics and Big Finish audio adventures right to Night of the Doctor with his regeneration into the Warrior (the time war doctor) acted by Sir John Hurt who regeneration was into the Ninth Doctor in 2005 acted by Chris Eccleston 😁👍🏻

Paul McGann reminds me of Dominic Keating from Star Trek: Enterprise. I think Nicola, Paul and Colin could easily feature in the new era Who in cameos, as Bonnie Langford and Elisabeth Sladen have done in the past. Bring back a classic companion for a full season like Peri or Mel.

If the MC knew how to use a microphone it wouldn’t keep distorting like that. You don’t speak INTO a microphone you speak over it. You’re not a rapper bro.
