Efs are my all time favorite. Love early 90s hondas

I think you should keep the ef, not to mention they are getting so hard to find and that one seems pretty solid as you have said. Yeah she needs all the hits and grits to make her 100%. But I’m also the same way older we get the more we can’t really enjoy it until she is solid. With all that said I’ll always watch whatever you throw our way.

As long as u fought the wiring issues I'd do the suspension and fix her breathing issue and rip it!! Always gonna be another project even if u finish more money comes from a good car than a ok car!! I am with u on the frustration and always another problem with your old Honda but for those few days when everything is just rite Nothing better!! Keep up the good work man!!

I'm late to the party lol. Just take your time with it. I have a Ef hatch also plus I'm 46 y/o. I replaced all the bushings and steering rack. I have a lsv turbo, but I'm getting tired of issues with it. So now I want to go all motor and call it a day.

I know this is a old video i have a 91 ef automatic its been sitting bc it kept overheating i changed everything that links to the cause but found the shop i took it too messed up my wiring and now it needs a new harness. My dad tried soddering it but it was only temporary. I think they overheated that caused it to blow the head gasket, i want to fix it so bad but idk where to start 😢

Efs are not easy now adays bro, once u convert to obd1 successfully you pretty much unlocked the car to do more, parts are hard to find

Fix the Trailing arm bushings, the CV axles, Dyno with these cams, then Dyno with B16 cams. Then see what's available for trading.

I got the monotech obd0 dpfi to mpfi conversion harness for my b16 swap years ago, in the middle of obd1 swapping it , has the vtec plugs , vtec pressure switch , would I still need to wire it to the little obd1 sub harness ?

The heater don’t work because of the headlight harness. It’s the ground box that needs to be bolted down.

Baby steps bro, you are overwhelmed with all your cars plus your customers. You have way too many project. Focus on one car, finish it and move on to the next.

What about a OBD² system that can adjust the timing tables for knock and set the injector PWM per cylinder as I plan to do with a ethanol sensor to allow for timing advance with E85 or better??? I'm on OBD2A and plan to run a system NEAR to 2021 emissions OR BETTER to run a CLEANER emissions than what was required back in 1997!!!

Id like to see a new manifold with a 4 port, and a thicker IC. That alone will prob make another 30 horse on a b16 with those cams. I agree. Its anemic. Someone started off right and then just choked the chicken. I know its prob time consuming. But i like to see shit like this on the dyno with the basemap AS is parts. Then do the upgrades and a tune and do before and after. Like you did the other day with the shop that built the car and had u tune it to 400+
@LsB18 Жыл бұрын
Maybe a lil late but do u still got those injectors😅

IMO all these old Hondas will be clapped out in need of all the same things. If you find one that is near perfect the way it should be then you're paying a lot for it. So, I suggest just slowly working it and build it how you like it. I love that type of content. As far as trailing arm bushings, prob need that special tool that's on eBay to change them (like $45.) And I had the hardest time changing my front lower control arm bushings on my EK Civic. Next time will just buy the Skunk2 ones already done. There's probably more special tools for the front that I don't know about. Don't buy polyurethane because all I read is how noisy they can be. Sure is a satisfying feeling knowing all the bushings are fresh ones by Hardrace. Even the bushings that weren't torn looked like a saggy titty lol 30 years of gravity is a bitch.
@gabrielcruz1103 жыл бұрын
How much that hardness run you if you don’t mind me asking, I’m restoring a 91 4 door full obd2 setup. If I can’t find a setup like this were I don’t have to micky mouse anything it will make my day.

I can't solder to save my life.. I swear when I tell myself, yes ima do it nice and right.. then it falls apart like I didn't even put a lick of solder on them.. so I'm forced to shrink wrap all my wire work.
