I've been sending euclidean triggers to my Rample, some fast, some slow. Makes for some really cool unexpected compositions.

I’ve definitely been underutilizing my Rample. Thanks for the tips. Going to dig into it again today.

After thinking about it for a bit, I found this video and became convinced - I just ordered a Rample to complete my rig...for now. (We all know it never ends, right?)

Happy I could add some knowledge, still love the Rample a lot! But yeah, it's a journey :)

I love my Rample! I've mostly just been neglecting the random samples but this definitely makes me want to organize some folders with a new sample pack I have and get some variation going on. Anyway, this is inspiring as always! Thanks!

Nice! Glad the video inspired you to try some new stuff with your gear :)

The Rample looks like a great Module! For now ill stick with my octatrack for sampling. Im doing similar stuff on it, but if i ever want a Sampler in my case ill get the rample. Nice video:-)
@MonotrailTechTalk8 ай бұрын
It is! But if you have an octatrack I would agree you have all the tools you need for sampling indeed :) Enjoy, and all the best!

this was great! thanks! Does anyone know if there is a video explaining how to slice loops in RAMPLE?

I *literally* thought just today that I ought to use my Rample much more and make some Kits, but didn't know how to start and then your vid just dropped. WHAT. (Thanks!)

Haha, nice timing then! Hope it gives some inspiration, and enjoy the module! :)

This is great, lots of great ideas here. I've been using Rample as my primary percussion source for quite a while now. What I find the most frustrating is that it takes a lot of work to set up kits, and while some of the things you're doing here turn out great, it sometimes feels like setting up a complex kit that way for one song, or patch, or "kind" of patch, is too much. Not sure there's a good alternative though.
@MonotrailTechTalk Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Glad you like the video :) Totally agree though, setting up kits can be a lot of work and feel weird, like planning/making the sound of a track before making a track :) My solution is to do it the other way around. Just casually collect/make samples and safe them in a folder dedicated to Rample. Every now end then I have a look at the folder and see if it inspires me to make kits. After some time I end up with a couple of drum kits that are useful in different situations.

Nice setup! I accomplish pretty much the same with the Bitbox micro and sample chains. Lovely synth and chord samples at the end. Any samples packs you can recommend?
@MonotrailTechTalk Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The Bitbox is a great tool as well, happy to hear how other people tackle similar ideas :) I don't recommend any sample packs. I do enjoy an occasional visit to Splice, and grab a couple of sounds from different packs. Think that's an easy way to make a custom collection!

Question: if I wanted to randomize all four samples at the press of a button (or flick of a switch, etc), would that be possible to patch?
@MonotrailTechTalk Жыл бұрын
Everything is possible within modular! You'd need something like a random voltage generator or sample and hold with noise input, that responds to a gate input from a button or switch. Then just send that voltage to the sample select inputs.
@MorbidManoeuvres8 ай бұрын
awesome stuff, but i have an issue. i load my own kit, and despite all files are correct size nothing ever triggers on gate 3... any ideas ? thanks
@MonotrailTechTalk8 ай бұрын
Thanks! And cant say from here :) Make sure to check the manual, see if there was a way to configure the gate inputs. I do remember you can configure the CV inputs.
