Now you have me wanting to add a C02 to my collection! I’m a beginner and just purchased the Comgrow air assist for my Xtool 10w non pro and love it. My Xtool 10w is my first laser machine and I’ve only been working on basswood so far. Going through all your tutorials and you are by far my favorite. Thanks for all the tips and keep making these videos!

Co2 lasers are certainly really flexible with the materials they can work with! Thank you- glad you're enjoying the videos!

Thanks for the video. Quick question ... when you have your power set to 60%, what is the mA showing on the display? Just curious what you have your max mA set to on the machine and what poweer it shows at different percentages. Thanks again!
@thelaserchannel1

Thanks- I don't recall the mA when running at 60%. I just make sure I'm under 23 mA and preferably 20 mA or less.

@@thelaserchannel1 Thanks. I just know if you run too hot with acrylic you run the risk of it cutting and then melting back together. I have zero experiece with it ... plan to get some soon to play with.

Will this be able to cut transparent or glitter acrylic?

Yes- it will cut and engrave transparent acrylic. I've never tried glitter acrylic so I can't say for certain. Thanks for watching!

hello everyone. I have a problem with my Monport 40w. When I send the job, the laser does not fire and since I turn it on, laser signal off appears. When I press the test button it barely marks the wood. Does anyone know what this is due to? I must clarify that the machine is new

Make sure your main power KNOB is turned to full power.

@facundocabrera3234 If you have already chosen your Laser type and com port i.e. com 1 com 2 etc. then more than likely you need to reconnect your laser by going into Devices (just to the left of your com port and the device you are using. If you don't see this item then go to the top of Lightburn and choose Windows in then select laser. Then it will be on your Lightburn desktop. Basically, you are just installing the laser again. Give it a new name then go back in and delete the previous name you gave it. Also, as @ligewithjesse_la has said below. There is a small knob on top of the laser near the on/off switch turn it all the way to the right or almost all the way to the right. It will burn then when you push the small button to test.

I just got mine, I am a newbie, & mine was doing the exact same thing. After days & days of watching video's nothing worked, My last resort was what should have been the first thing, my mirrors/laser were not aligned/ calibrated. After doing this machine is doing 100% better. Now to learn how to actually use it.

@@lifewithjesse_la Do not folow this ... Having it cranked up all the way is a good way to make your tube burn out too fast. Set it to where it reads no more than 16mA when you hit the FIRE button (and some people even recommend only 12mA).

I have mine set to 60% power and I have to do about 5-6 passes to cut acrylic. How did you cut it in one pass?

Checking the "Air Assist" radio button adds extra g-code which isn't necessary if you manually activate the air assist. Just another way to do it.
