Leaking fluid doesn’t necessarily mean shock or strut failure. Follow along as Alyssa and James from Monroe outline the proper inspection procedure to determine if the shock or strut is suffering from leakage or weepage. Leakage is apparent when most of the shock or strut appears wet or oily or where fluid is dripping off the unit. When leakage is the diagnosis, shock/strut replacement is required. Weepage occurs when a small amount of oil seeps out of the shock or strut during the course of normal operation. This small amount of oil is acceptable and doesn’t require replacement. Count on Monroe to help you get your shock repair done right.
