Monroeville Fire Dept responding

In Monroeville, every year the fire departments (all 5 of them) all get together and buy toys for toys for tots. This night we were in the middle of loading up the bus when the call was dispatched. It was in a shopping mall parking lot.

@TheMaster592 There's a Radio Station in Pittsburgh before Christmas, they do a Fund Raise Drive called "Stuff-A-Bus" where they try to fill a TON of Buses with child toys. Every year Monroeville Fire Department shows up and does their part. But fortunate enough this year, they got a possbile Structure Fire Run.

you know i was a firefighter for quite a while and yes sometimes it takes that many responders and sometimes it doesnt but either way we are always prepared it doesnt matter how big or small the scene is always take precautions

@robertgift Powercall is one of the most effective sirens out there, along with the Rumbler. Who gives two craps if you think the Rumbler is "Laughable", it's a very effective Siren. Plus, your words mean nothing to anyone. Just because you say that doesn't mean the FD is going to go out of their way to change the sirens and speakers.

@301whitehall POSwercall, similar to a Hi-Lo, is less effective because it sweeps to its high and low frequency too fast. (Also it lingers on the high frequency, rather than LOW. LOW frequencies travel farther in air and penetrate vehicles better than high. If someone is deaf athat high frequency, they will not hear it. Would be.tter if its frequency profile were inverted from what it is. Nothing is better than Wail. Wail does not match any frequencies in music, etc.
