Hi bro is it possible to use poron gaskets instead? willl the case still fit properly because i see the slots of the silicone gasket have an indent and ik its not the point of silent switches but dang sounds good

Hey if you plan on using Poron foam I would suggest using thicker or layering the Poron because it's not thick enough if you use just one layer. But if you are custom cutting your Poron pieces it should be able to stick on fine

I got the Boba U4 Silent tactiles! They're really good, but quite scratchy stock. The switches has very low tolerance so make sure your space bar aint warped!

Where did you get your M2, because there are 2 versions. Global version from Monsgeek Website and China version. The official one only works with the software

@@itssamueltan I just put the M2 together and when I press the shift/backspace type keys that have stabilizers they stay down..the space bar works fine. Did I just overlube the ones that stay down?

​@@BenTegupretty late on response but I'm sure you figured it out already.... I was having the same problem adjusting them the stabilizer in and out repeatedly solved it for me, didn't even have to unscrew the board. Most of the time it is from over lubing, or the stabilizers came out of place, in that case you would have to take apart the board

All my spacebars are flipped because it's more ergonomic when I'm gaming, and yea I might do another sound test, it seems like people want to hear it

It's an 1800 layout aka 96% compact layout but it's all almost the same

It's common to use 96 for the compact boards without any spacing on the right side. 1800 commonly refers to those boards that are more compact than a full-side but have a little gap between between the alphas and the numpad. They tend to have maybe 96 to 98 keys from what I've seen.

It's easy enough to change it yourself. The little plates rattles if assembled normally so you'll be putting tape on them to quiet things down. While you're there, just cover the visible side with whatever you want. The discord has people using washi tape, present wrapping paper, colored transparency film, etc.

It's a silent switch but it doesn't have a dampener so there's still some sound from the impact. It does feel better tho

I think the space bar was installed in the opposite orientation in the video. The larger face should be facing towards the user for a more ergonomic typing angle. But if that’s some personal preference thing then just go ahead😂.

Was like, huh, it sound like shit, then I realized you were using silent switches, why would you use silent switches for sound test, a one that would be posted to KZbin no less. If you want to use silent switches, at least use a normal switches for a normal sound demo.

Well I did want to use other switches, but this was what akko sent over and those were the switches I had. Plus it sounds quite decent too imo. But yea I do understand, I've gotten this feedback alot and maybe I should have added other switches for the sound test.
