If it’s sunny, I love just lounging with a book at Quiet Cove. When my kids want to hang, then I do the same at the family pool. I love the trivia! Especially the music ones because we always sing along. Some of the trivia questions are so hard but it’s still fun to be there with other fans.

Definitely Palo brunch, some bingo, sleeping in. Lately have been hooked on the animation classes and hope to do more of those on our cruises!

I liked the girls point of view! It’s fun that they record little snippets as well. That flooding was intense and the leaking down from the ceiling?! I would have been so worried. I’m glad they comped the rooms because that’s so awful to have that mess with a pricey vacation. Still looked like a fun day! Thanks for sharing.

I had to come back to this video because I just got off my first Disney cruise on the fantasy. And during dinner one night they cut all the background noise and made an announcement in code. It freaked so many people out including myself. But it turned out there was a small electrical fire near the stage. But it was crazy to see how fast everything paused even during the show they took a break for the announcement.

The crew does an amazing job and although it would feel better if they followed it up with something to add clarity, I’m sure they have their reasons.

Thanks!! The smell lingered in a few spots but it wasn’t all over. Dissent did all they could do to make it better. Even putting cups of coffee grinds out of the way in small spaces to absorb any odor. Our last 2 at sea days were a lot of fun with MUCH better weather!

I appreciate your review of the storm. I imagine staff was cleaning carpets 24/7. I wonder how a storm with so much moisture affects their water/ plumbing system. Glad you got laundry done before the rush. I am enjoying your vlogs :)

Always appreciate your honesty. Hope Carrie enjoyed the balsamic grande! Love the escargot and French onion soup on that menu. I have an unpopular opinion…..I don’t like the grape and Gorgonzola pizza or the fried Brie 😮😮😮😮😂😂 Karaoke is definitely on my list for my next cruise. I’ve never gone.

This is just us but I think it's kind of nuts that some people were wanting compensation as the week went on. Weather is such a touchy subject but having worked at Disney, to us, inclement weather doesn't entitle compensation. It sounded like Cast did what they were supposed to do in the beginning and that was get people out of the wet rooms and switch them. Disney didn't comp us our cruise when we had to stay 3 extra days on the ship during the hurricane. What they did was provide extra entertainment and opened up the phone lines and the internet to make the proper changes and call the proper people for when we got back. That's why we always get insurance too because stuff like this can happen and because we had insurance, we were able to get our money back for extra food and hotel/flight changes that we had to do. With that said it's devastating that people also had to smell the carpet and the must starting to form. And in the end, it's cool that Disney comped Disney Rooms for those that were effected. Glad y'all had a great time despite the bad weather. Loved seeing the POV of the girls during the storm and it actually made me sad seeing the ship like that. The Magic is old and that was nerve wrecking seeing water leak all over the place. 😭

We totally get that perspective as well. Disney did as good a job as they could do for the cruise as a whole to make the best in the middle of a rough scenario. We just wanted to share what was happening beyond our family’s experience. Ultimately it was decided it was worth it to sail through the storm, or maybe they couldn’t sail around it? We’ve always heard they usually sail around storms 🤷🏻‍♂️ But if you are going to sail through a storm, just make sure the ship can handle it, amiright?! The Magic is def in need of some help. I hope they can fix what is needed in the upcoming dry dock 😊

Thank you for posting this, I was on your cruise. It's very sad and strange what happened. My husband heard the water gushing thru the elevators. Thank goodness no one was in them at the time. That's why they were shut down since Sat. thru the rest of our cruise. Personally for me, after what we went through, I will only sail on newer ships. While the Magic looked wonderful when we got on, she's tired. She needs to be put to rest. I don't feel confident they can fix every leak and hole. The smells were so horrible. The flooding was horrible. And the breathing issues that we experienced and the following cruise after ours is just not worth the money. I don't feel confident that during dry dock they will even find all the holes and leaks.

I (Chris) love lightning and thunder! Just not a fan of storms causing damage that gets in the way of having fun. Thankfully Disney did their best to still make it a fun day 😀

I will say Carrie convinced me to try the martini at Palo Brunch coming up this month on Wish, though I did hear Wish upped its game in drink category so may pass and mixology tasting, later so I’ll see

Not really at all. Definitely not back and forth. We never felt sick from any boat movement.

The Magic is 25 years old, she needs a full overhaul and hopefully, it's done in dry dock, if not she needs to be put to rest, perhaps a coral home near Castaway would be ideal. Sad to say that but a ship shouldn't be having huge leaks like that in a storm happening in the Gulf. As for the storm itself, true monsoons do not take place in the Gulf of Mexico but the storms do have similar tendencies like the ones that take place in the Pacific up through Asia as well as Australia and parts of Africa. :)

Very true. Might be a bit too huge for castaway, but maybe a funnel or something? 😂 we hope they can shore her up and fix any issues. It’s amazing that the Magic shows these signs of west and tear and both times we’ve been on the Wonder, it doesn’t feel nearly as old 🤷🏻‍♂️ We’re but the only ones to sense that too.
