It didn't eclipse Love for me, but it was definitely a grower. I feel like a little bit was "lost" because it wasn't a Honey-led production (versus lyrics, which I'm happy to say are Hyungwon-led!). Somehow the command that Jooheon has over the sounds and the feel and how best to use the members' talents feels more organic than when those things are done by other producers. Our rapline showed up, here, though, and showed the heck out. And yes, I was with you in missing Shownu doing this choreo. I can't wait, and it's so close now!

I agree but HW, JH, and CK all have writing credits on here. Can't assume JH/CK credits are only for the rap lines.

@@jadoremusic620 I meant that this is the first comeback since Gambler that hasn't had Jooheon on the production team, and I personally find that his production seems to make for a better track. Hyungwon is listed first in lyrics; it seems he's flexing that skill more often, which is great. I'd never assume our rap line wrote only their lyrics, especially given the credit order listed for the track. They're all crazy talented, and I'm happy when the members get to have a hand in their creations.

I thought this was a great comeback for them, it was a nice change honestly (for me). I REALLY really love "LOVE" and this just felt kind of fresh for them and I love that we get so many different sounds and styles from them. I found the structure of the song not as jarring as a lot of other people did, it wasn't distracting for me at all and I thought it gave the song a really good pace. This comeback more than a lot of previous ones showed a lot of growth, in their singing especially. I just thought they suited it really well. I don't know what it was in particular but as soon as I heard it I just got emotionally because this really showcased to me, just how hard they have worked and how far they've come.

This group just drips in swag -- I love how they just have a certain magic to every move or action in their dancing. This song has grown on me, but I loved it at first listen. It will be fantastic when Shownu is back to complete the chain again.

Lol honestly love and beautiful liar took some time to grow on me and Im a hard core monbebe. But I love both of the songs now. The whole album was actually really really good. If you haven't listened to it yet, please do. Daydream, crescendo (my fav off the album), lone ranger (kihyuns high notes Lord), and it's alright are bops.

As a looong time mbb, this cb was IT. On first listen I loved it so much like I did Love Killa. Love just wasn’t my thing but for what it did for their discography and image, I respect the hell out of it. It was a fun switch-up but it kind of stayed there in that era for me. Dark and dangerous (yet seductive) is what they’ve mastered and after all this time, they still bring it with a twist and this one knocked me out lol it has everything I love and I’m so glad we got this from them. I do hope we’ll get to see Shownu do all the choreo he had to miss though, that’ll be a fun time 😌

I wonder if the reason you were not as blown away is because Jooheon did not produce it. While they did a lot of the work, they were not the sole driving force of this song. I do prefer Love to this one, though this is still great.
