Description of the video
There's an authoritarian government that keeps its population in poverty and misery. It controls them by fear and by giving them some substance that control their will and ability to rebel. Wonho finds the blue flower that frees people, helping them get back their will, and introduces it to Jooheon. He then starts the x clan, a group that goes against the government, with the blue flower as the symbol of this revolution. As the video goes on, we see situations/realities that set off the other members to join the x clan. Minhyuk finds himself powerless against the suicide of a friend and a beaten Hyungwon; Shownu loses his mother, so he faces death; Hyungwon is beaten by his father; Kihyun is not in his best condition physically, he limps and I.M. lives in misery.
The first part is the beginning (as they are lost), the second shows them trying to spread the flower’s substance (we see them fighting). Wonho symbolizes the seek of knowledge, he found the flower, he has the revolution in his hair, he studies, he creates a machine that tries to spread the blue liquid to all the population. We then see scenes of them in the streets, with guns, a battle against the government, so they can later spread the blue liquid to everybody. But they are caught and locked up. The blue lines on the screen mean they have the substance of the flower in their bodies. To extinguish their desire to rebel, every member has their memory erased and is put on a cell where they are given something that they wanted in their previous reality but couldn’t have. if they had those things, there would be no need to join the x clan in the first place.
Wonho is put in a place with different lockers, that represent the hidden knowledge; Minhyuk is able to control things around him because what made him furious before was that he couldn't control life or who was beaten so he felt usessless. Shownu is surrounded by plants, that represent life, as opposed to the death he faced before that pained him; Hyungwon is healthy, he admires his reflection, since he was beaten, he doesn't want to go back to that state; I.M. has wealth, because he seemed to live in poor conditions and Kihyun possess strength, because he seemed to have some kind of walking disability, so strength here means physical strength and that’s why there are swords. Jooheon is the only one who is not in a cell because what he wanted was power. He was the leader of the clan and now he is in charge of managing the prisoners which explains the ropes.
But Jooheon finds the the clock that shows time. Time is a thing you can’t control, so he realizes he is being controlled. And then he starts to show the members some objects to try taking them out of their delusive space as well. He shows Minhyuk the clock and for him it also represents the lack of control. The pen and ink shows Wonho that knowledge is something constructed. Kihyun realizes the hammer is a tool that can build but also break. Hyungwon understands the mirror shows only a reflection of the moment and health is not an eternal condition. Matches/fire can burn money and money‘s value is a convention. And lastly, the bottle with blue liquid, that when spilt in the white flower makes it blue, resembling the symbol of the revolution. So slowly each member realizes the lie they are living. Jooheon then sets all of them free and (i imagine) they go back to the city, use the machine and set everybody else free. Together they can take the government down.
(if you read this far, congrats and thank you)
