The song structure is so genius. The lyrics are basically about someone gaslighting themself into believing this toxic and not reciprocated love is enough and everything they want. But a one-sided relationship will never bring satisfaction. That's why the song is all about building up tension, but never releasing it or coming to a conclusion. The song is supposed to make you pause and wonder why it feels so off-putting but addictive at the same time. That why i love Monsta x so much after so many years of career they are still able to release quality music on a regular basis. no they never really had a big hiatus and they are still the major group of STARSHIP with now their little sister IVE. their rap line is still as monstrous . Toxic love? Monsta X love to live dangerously...!! The mv is really a great way to "show" the lyrics of the song. Broken glass, the chains, black and red... I love the contrast between their vocals part and the rapline... KIZZ FROM BRAZIL.💋

No idea if the ending is storyline, but I think it has to do with the fact that Min was giving a concert to a bunch of people but in reality Min was alone...I think it speaks to the message in the song. They are gaslighting themselves into thinking they are happy in this toxic relationship. But they're lying to themselves, and they're alone when they think they're in a crowd. Guess we'll find out in a few days when explanation videos start coming out. Thank you so much for reacting! I died multiple times. The transitions killed me. I think the painting concept comes into play with 'Beautiful Liar' as a 'Dorian Gray' thing, with beauty and immortality being tied to the painting. But it's like you already know the truth of how this person really looks and not care. I enjoyed your reaction as always MonstaX doesn't disappoint, they can't.

I feel like Minhyuk is the Main Character in this MV like everything that happens is because he did something. Like in the beginning he is the only one talking to the crowd and the crowd follows him. He looks like he is fighting Kihyun and his choreo with Changkyun is so agressive. Min breaks the glass and Kihyun is looking at the mess Min left. Hyungwon Changkyun Jooheon and Kihyun in the audience and observing at least at one point and Minhyuk is always above the crowd. Was it reality was it fiction? Why was Minhyuk alone in the end and why does he seem to be in pain? Idk about the storyline but this is what stands out to me in the MV.

I know absolutely nothing about the storyline, but all I've gathered is that Minhyuk and Kihyun seem to be fighting against each other in their last couple of MVs lol When I tell you that I died when the part with the chains appeared on my screen, this was not funny. I think you're going to love the album. My personal favorite is Lone Ranger, which is Hyungwon's song (he produced and wrote lyrics). I really seem to gravitate toward his songs every single time.

I know how overwhelming is this MV, and still it give us so much to think about! We are drawn into this toxic addictive feeling that are increasing without pause during the song, and ends so abruptly, letting us (as Minhyuk) with nothing, all alone in an empty stage...I mean, Is this a comment on the toxic idol-fans relationship? sorry the cup hurt you😂I would of given you the straw with it(the green circle lifts up) but it broke when my mom tried to ship it to me when in college. Omg, how did I miss this video when you first posted it? 🙃 I just started getting into Monsta X because I fell in love with Joohoney on Game Caterers, he's hilarious 😂 plus they are the big brother group to my Baby Ults, Cravity. This song has a chokehold on me right now, it's so good. Even better though, my hubby who really only likes Ateez's music, and some of SKZ and Cravity, is absolutely in LOVE with this song. 🤯 He loves the rock sound and really likes the lyrics and video. He's gonna be getting the album for me for my birthday in June, I can't wait.
