"You wrote it in all English?" "Word by word, or line by line?" These aren't ways they are talking DOWN or trying to belittle them of their English skills. I think what Zach and his crew are doing is just showing their amazement and appreciation to a KPOP group who's main language is Korean that they are blown away they are making music out of their comfort zone. A lot of US interviewers always push "when is there going to be an English album/song" I think Zach was trying to come across that they don't HAVE to make their songs in English for their music to make an impact, its powerful and loved even in korean. Monsta x can do what they want but I think Zach was trying to come off very impressed and wanting to known the process of recording a song in a language that you aren't even fluent in. That's all. I don't think he was trying to be rude if anything he was really respectful.

Also, it's amazing to Westerners because we know Hangul has a different alphabet. An English native writing in Spanish/French, etc. is amazing to us but we have the same alphabet. So writing in a different alphabet is like time travel to us, near impossible, very amazing!!!

@@Pegasus-vl1hh for Americans, the Asian-English accent is sometimes hard to understand. Monsta X speak really worked on pronunciation, so we understand them. P.S. really in America, even British-English accent is hard for us to understand. I watch "Peaky Blinders" on netflix with subtitles. Australian-English accent, when they really put the accent on, is unintelligible, but they know, so they really don't speak with a heavy accent when Aussies are in the US. Same thing "Down South", the accent from the Southern US States can't be understood by Northerners, they know this! I lived in the US all my life and was SHOCKED when I saw that movie "Fargo". That Upper Mid-West accent is wild.

It was Changkyun who carried this interview, which I can understand, but the elephant in the room is that with 2 members missing, the others do have to step up a bit communication wise. Kihyun and Shownu are trying more and I applaud them for that. I'm not sure if Hyungwon needs to be coached more, but as someone who biases him, I don't like watching interviews where he's present but doesn't participate as much.

Especially Jackson, with him going as far to curse in spanish too and talk about how he dated to learn korean. So, compare that, to how much Monsta X are allowed to say, really just seems unfair. I get it could be depending on the company too, but still.

@@imonoluv7250 I do think the company has a lot to do with it tbh. Got7 is from JYP which is known for being a bit more looser in how their artists can act. Even with a girl group like TWICE, I find that they do still have to follow a certain standard but the artists have less restrictions in the way of dating and such, it's just the fans' reactions that they would be wary about and that's not going to change.

I understand completely that Zac and the gang ask questions about love and relationships to guys. MX just put out a very relationship/love based album, and they want to know as interviewers if this is something personal, because often when artist make albums like this it’s based on feelings they’ve gone through! All the guys are in their mid 20s now, its a pretty high probability that they have gone through one or a few relationships, but because of the way the kpop industry builds its idols, them actually disclosing that they have romantic partners is taboo af. So for Changkyun to slightly panic when asked about it, is also completely understandable. I always enjoy Zach’s interviews, he always tries to ask good questions and engage with the artists, and you can see that they are all comfortable in that space, despite the tender topics of conversation.

I think Zach handled this brilliantly. Everyone knows what the elephant in the room was, and somehow he succeeded in talking about it without talking about it, because I'm fairly sure they aren't allowed to speak on this issue directly. When Zach took the time to answer that question himself, I almost felt like he was trying to put into words what they can't say freely, but what they can most likely relate to a lot.

They are really a great group to stan. They are so wholesome and humble and really show the real side of themselves when they do stuff like their little reality/game shows and Vlives and stuff. I recommend watching Monsta X-Ray which will make you love them even more. Especially the daycare episode where they take care of babies all day. They're becoming more mainstream now which is a blessing and a curse honestly.

He mocked his departure and there was a video on Twitter but the account who posted it got suspended, but you can actually search it on Twitter and it's all over the place, when we realized they were having other interview with him monbebe were sharing their discomfort on Twitter. It's sad because he does research for the interview but his attitude regarding Wonho is disgusting and childish.

They can’t ever talk about it. The only time they will is when they end their contract and leave the company. While under contract they have rules and limitations they have to follow or they can get in a lot of trouble. I’m sure they WANT to talk about it. However, if they want to keep their careers and reputation..they have to stay quiet.

I recommend that you watch No Mercy (can be found on youtube), the reality show where the group was formed, and read about articles on the injustice that happened to Wonho. Yeah, unfortunately it was the bad side of attention that got one of the members sabotaged into leaving, and they tried the same with Shownu, because without a leader there's no group. Not many people know this, but Monsta X were sabotaged in their "Follow" comeback for the simple fact that they were rising to fame. Before the "Follow" Music video was even out, I saw a few comments of people snitching on themselves, commenting on Monsta X videos that they were going to sabotage the new comeback in mass, and they even added a smile emoji in the end. I didn't think it would hit Monsta X as hard as it did. Those people had been working behind the scenes long enough to create a large group of haters who didn't want to see Monsta X continue to rise in fame, because that would mean their favorites would be in "competition". Unfortunately, I know what sort of people they were, but I'm not going to bring negativity into this. That's just not what Monbebes do.

I agree with what you said as well, it’s really pathetic when in reality K-Pop is not only about winning awards and competition but it’s more about the love and music, and that’s exactly what MONSTA X gave us (still does). They love their fans so much and provided K-Pop some variety for people who aren’t fans of the “cute and soft” concept, it’s just sad that we had to lose a member in order for the fandom and MONSTA X realize that nobody can stop them and monbebe will always love them. What happened, happened, so there is no need to think about the past because everything ended up being okay in the end.

i agree because like watching back to follow if all that drama DIDNT happen monsta x would have been in a much higher place than it is now and that comeback would have been the biggest one yet. They could have even won multiple awards at shows like MAMA or AAA and compete with big artists such as BTS
