Monster Adventure Max Bluetooth Speaker Unboxing and Initial Thoughts

I got a sample of the Adventure Max bluetooth speaker from Monster for an unboxing and initial review. Overall, I really like the build of this speaker, and wish my recording and KZbin did the audio samples justice. It's sounds great, and is from a company with a decades-long history with audiophiles like me.

Hi how do you know when speaker is fully charged and does the red light stay on while charging

Yes, the light stays on while it's charging and goes off when it's done. When I received mine, it was mostly charged. I plugged it in to fully charge it, which took an hour or two, if I remember correctly.

@@carlazzopardi2421 It announces 'battery low'. I think it does that at 10%, but I'll have to verify that. Other than that, I'm not sure how you would check the level of charge.

@@carlazzopardi2421 I realized that on iPhone, the phone will display the battery status of bluetooth-connected devices in the widgets, so you can see how much charge it has.

No lo he probado a todo volumen debido a la distorsión. (i havent tested it at full volume because of the distortion.)

How does it compare to jb L extreme 3

I don't have a JBL to do a side-by-side comparison at the moment, but from my memory of how it sounded, I'd say the sound quality is very similar to the Monster, although I don't remember my friend turning the JBL up to 100% volume, so I don't know if there's any distortion at high volume. The JBL is a 100 watt speaker, so it would most certainly be louder at higher volumes. My only concern would be distortion at high volumes, which I've seen in a lot of the higher-powered speakers that are in a chassis around this same size. I'm not sure of the physics involved, but it seems to be a trend I've seen/heard. Next time I'm at my friend's house, I'll ask him to crank it up so I can hear it at 100%.

Can you have more than one bluetooth device stored?

If you mean on your mobile device, you can have a single active audio connection at one given time. This is a limitation within the Bluetooth standard. Some speaker manufacturers, like Sonos, have gotten around this by having multiple speakers that pair with each other, and you connect your mobile device to one, which sends the audio to the others. This way, you can have a whole room full of speakers playing the same audio.

@kojakdurham I mean say my wife wants to play music on it I always have to re-pair my phone and vice versa. With my Bose it stored up to ten I think.

@@soundpixel9867 I think I understand your question. The device can connect one phone at a time to it, so if your wife's is connected and she leaves home, you'll have to manually connect, but your historic connection info should be stored in your phone, and all you have to do is click it. You won't have to re-pair it.

@kojakdurham thanks for clarifying that. That's my only gripe with the boom box. I was also concerned about the midst and highs, but a third party eq took care of that. I love how long the battery lasts.
