You want even more of a slower paced but god tier anime watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes from the 90s. Very good political space opera. Only anime I cried at aside from monster

Well Johan is nhilist for him everything is meaningless, he doesn't care about things like luxury,love, money, attention for him everything is temporary and we all will eventually end up in grave. He just wanted to be Last one standing
