I don't know why, but when Chris plays the slow down footage of Speedy stealing the gumball machine, I feel like it's from a practice test animation to plan out how fast he goes, or a removed scene that didn't make it in so they used a as a recording from a security camera. I don't know if it is or not, it's just my opinion.
