That’s amazing mate outstanding! You inspired me to try harder and a month ago I spent a weekend deadbaiting on the idle and blanked. Returned a few weeks later with soft plastic swim baits and got my first pike! Only a 5-6lb fish but for me it’s a massive big deal. Your blog made me put the work in and I persevered, it worked. Hello mate my son put me on to your chanel Exelent As a piker myself the leeds liverpool canal runs right by were we live so I fish it a lot We had some nice fish over the years Now here's what I'm getting to During the lockdown last year I was walking my dog and came across a dead pike ,still pretty fresh massive mate Went back for some Scales fished it out it weighed just under 29lb I was shocked but it shows they are there anyway love the chanel and that 21lb fish is a stunner keep the videos comming mate THANKS

I managed to catch a 20lb on the Basingstoke canal on a little dead bait.my heart was in my mouth. I was all by myself and couldn’t share the moment with someone. I left the fish in the net until some dog walker walked past to take a photo for me. Even the guy said he didn’t realised they got that big in the canal. I’m pretty sure there’s a 30lb out there and I’m going to aim to catch it. Great fishing mate you deserve it!!!

What an awseome episode! First of all i would like to say i love the intro! Second, i totally can realte to those chill layed back sessions. As a feeder fisherman myself, i am used to always casting and watching the rod, but today i went for a large carp. Didn't catch any but i had such a great time just enjoying the nature around me, what a great change of pace. And thirdly, what a great catch you got yourself there !!!

Great achievement 👏 👌. I did my first 20lb pike from a canal in January 2020. The session before I had a 19lb pike and really didn't expect to top it but I had found a really good spot. I had a few others that were upper doubles as well. I have just started to visit drains 3 trips so far and on the 2nd visit had a 22lb pike and on the 3rd visit I had the twenty again with a 17lb pike. Like you said you have to enjoy the moment. In between them fish has been around 50 jacks with only a few that might have made 10lb. I have had a canal, gravel pit and a drain +20lb I really need a big river pike now as I haven't even had a double from a river.

Ppl often neglect the margins fishing close in for the big pike 🐊 and if your quite and set out your stall you can often pick up them better fish.the crafty fish mopping up them discarded old deadbaits we chuck in when there damaged and no good as a hookbait.similar to them big margin carp on the carp puddles lol👍
