Monster Dub - A beat making video

It is 6am and I haven't slept tonight. This melody from 16 years ago just got stuck in my head. Found it by "mpc harmonica before:2009" lol. KZbin can search by date! Didn't know that. It's good I remembered it was black and white. It isn't lol. But I found it anyway. It was like the only tutorial I knew and tried to do the same on software samplers back then. I was too busy writing the comment to check the author's other videos, but now I'm going to check it. 😅

Watched this video back in 2006 or 2007. This inspired me to start producing but I stopped when I got to college so I would actually do my homework. I've just graduated and can't wait to start producing again. Big up's for this video, it may have changed my life. -JBtheCAVEMAN

Oh my god. I remembered that this was ultra dope. But after listening to it 14 y ago i could never find it again. Tried again today... And literally all i remembered was the akai pad, dub sounds, and that figurine. I am sooo grateful i found this. Thank you for basking me in some of the nicest sounds ever.

Yes that's right. I use Wavelab to record most things as I jam, then I can easily edit the best bits for transfering to the MPC via the USB connection.

It's an AKG SolidTube. There are probably better tube mics out there, but it sounds good to my ears.

Thanks :) - you mean the mixer right? Its a Behringer DDX3216, although I wouldn't recomment it. It dies about a week after we made the video, and I've only owned it for a year or so. You get what you pay for!

Thats cool how you sampled drums loops and athen took the kicks snares and re-played them how you wanted them. Thats also a good idea because you will know that drums will automatically fit together. What kind of Vinyl is that? Since it has like just drum loops?
