You're right... it takes absolutely no training to maneuver a 3,300lb car (including driver weight) around other cars going 180+mph while reacting to split-second decisions right in front of you, all while not being able to move around for 3+ hours in 100+ degree heat wearing full-body fire and crash protection with no A/C. Much like it takes no skill, training or effort to time your fuel consumption to make it to the end of the race, change 4 tires and refuel in less than 13 seconds while your opponents all battle you for the same victory. Much like it takes no skill to run past defensemen to carry a ball into an end zone, or run around another player to throw the ball in a hoop or skate past your opponents to shoot a puck into a goal or run across a field to kick a ball into the goal or connect your bat to a ball traveling close to 100 mph and get the force, direction and angle just right to hit a home run or anything involving other sports. Those don't take training, strategy or practice either. Please, get in a car in the same conditions as these drivers and race with them for hours on a hot day and let's see if you cross the line before Jimmie Johnson or Kyle Larson or Kevin Harvick. I'd bet a lot that you'd tap out before you even got to the end of the first stage. But then again, it takes no athleticism to be a boxer either. All you do there is just throw your arms wildly in hopes that you'll hit something. Right? ;-)
