Another cool word for it is Moon Dust.. It's what its called in Australia & NZ.. Contrary to what people might think if their only watch of Downhill in NZ is Crankworx Roturua where they race through a Rainforest & it always rains, in the South Island, in Otago (Queenstown) & Canterbury (Christchurch) it gets really dry in summer, in fact in Christchurch the same Bike Park has been closed down from fire blazes twice in 7 years. When ever the NZ National Downhill series races in Christchurch there's always big clouds of dust behind the riders haha! If Californians raced in the Australian mountains, & in NZ, in Otago & Canterbury, it would be just like riding at home for them haha!
