Ghoulia’s G3 color story feels so all over the place. I wish they left her skin grey to kinda help neutralize her whole look, and i lowkey hate the skirt jdjdhfhdjdj but other than that, i love that she’s a skater and gamer ghoul

Idk how I feel about her. Pink in her design looks out of place, red would be imo a better choice. I'm getting a little bit sick of mattel forcing pink on every single character.

The beanie, doc martens and jacket are all so clearly Tumblr grunge skater I don't know why in the world they didn't give her pants. A distressed baggy jean or something would have given her a more neutral bottom so they could make her top a bright color. I'm making pants for mine when I get her 😂

Honestly, Ghoulia did get one of the best G3 looks even if the colors are all over the place, which is more of a problem with this gen as a whole, but it’s the way they able-ized her that completely kills the design for me as a fellow ND nerd. I promise you, Nick, all of geek kind would be at your feet if you’d hired Felicia Day to just moan into a microphone. UPDATE: I’ve since Unrebooted her with a G1 Ghoulia and a mix of accessories.

I love OG Ghoulia, but tbh, the green skin makes her look more zombie to me. Before I could only tell she was a zombie because of her posture, lack of speed, and talking in grunts. Her actually self, like the dolls, to me didn't scream zombie. Both are great for different reasons. OG wins slightly for her due to her beautiful 💋 lips.

I love love love her so so much The only thing that was bothering me since I saw the leaks for the first time was the skirt, was hoping for pants. Other than that, she absolutely gorgeous and perfect, definitely in my top 3 of the G3

I agree, she needs pants! Does anyone know if G1 pants fit her? EDIT: I ended up putting her in LOL skater girl’s shorts. The coloring is weird, but it’s better than the skirt 😂

Like the original best. I wasn't going to get gen 3 Ghoulia but changed my mind. I redressed her in a pair of jeans, the deadfast shirt, and her jacket.(from the comicbook club fashion pack/also using the green glasses from said pack) Looks a lot better than the outfit she came with. I don't like the pink skirt or foggy glasses. Love her jacket and her hat though.

Mainly I just hate her eyebrows. If I get a Ghoulia I will likely color her eyebrows blue to match her hair. If you're not gonna match them, at least just go black with them. I don't get why they don't match, but I have the same issue with Clawdeen's painted edges.. which also don't match her hair..? Clawdeen makes even less sense than Ghoulia tho, since the edges are literally meant to be her hair. Other than that, I kind of dig her new look, but also I say this as someone who wasn't into original Ghoulia (style yes, look no) so take that with a grain of salt I suppose. I do wish they had given her pants. I saw someone give Ghoulia big baggy Tripp-style red pants and it's an amazing look for her. I hope her later releases offer pants for her--or at least a skort, or even just bike shorts under the skirt, c'mon.

I really don't like gen 3 ghoulia because it still stings that they took away the none verbal aspect of her but I am hoping that I can love her too once I've gotten over the change.

Hopefully the next g3 doll of Ghoulia would at least have a better style to make up for... Whatever this one is. I dislike the fact she talks now. Always loved that the zombies couldn't talk and just groan and moan. Maybe if they made it to where the zombies could talk a little but not as clear as other monsters and still mostly groan then it would be alright? I do love the fact that they kept her as a gamer at least but in the movie I was so taken aback by her character that I had to pause... Like multiple times 😭. They did Ghoulia dirty. Every other character I've been fine with fr except for Lagoona, I still don't know how I feel about her character design and new personality.

She has a very pretty face but it’s kinda bland. She looks like a slightly cartoonish Barbie doll. Also wish she had something monstrous about her base doll too. If you take away her brain themed outfit she just looks like a green doll with blue hair. Doesn’t automatically read zombie to me. She could be an alien for all I could tell.

I agree. Though I think that was a problem in the og as well, I always found her boring compared to the other ghouls (that opinion changed as I got older) but with the new screening, design and colours as you mentioned it seems to have been amplified lol. Do hope for a better look but this will suffice until then

G1 is superior in I’d say 99% of what it did (I do like the slightly thicker body’s+height variety in the newer) but G3 is pretty good, if we’re not comparing it to that and seeing it as a completely new entity ig. I completely agree, should have been red used instead of the hot pink. I find with g3 they’re putting a lot of emphasis on the pink/cute elements (the pets being more chibi, more pink more youthful appearances) which is taking a little time getting used to since og was super gothic looking back LOL. While some dolls are better than others I wouldn’t go as far as to say any of the redesigns have been awful so I don’t mind the change in ghoulias skin. Hopefully will have even better designs in the future, as I can tell they didn’t go ALL OUT for the reboot (rightfully so since the last reboot was such a flop they stopped making dolls for a few years lol) can’t wait for the new releases. Need more lagoona and dracs to add to the collection

Definitely think ghoulia should have grey skin because she’s a zombie but ido appreciate her being a gamer. Would also appreciate if they kept the red blue and gray coloring but i know its catered to children so brighter colors were better. Her skirt definitely should have been firetruck red and glasses with just the cutout but other then that, really cute new look for ghoulia. Hope shes in the new movie monster high 2!

Im hoping luck will be on my side after I return my ghoulia. She had dents all over her head from her glasses and when I tried to fit it I made it worse 😩. Fingers crossed my next one will be better 🤞🏻

Ghoulias color story would be a lot nicer to look at if they replaced the pink with red. Like I hate that they keep trying to shoehorn this ugly pink on the dolls, they need to stop. Whoever's doing this needs to stop. Edit: after I bought my own Ghoulia I've come to the conclusion that I really do like how the colors are Incorporated in this specific design, I just really hate that stupid pleather skirt. I hand-sewn some pants for her. My point still stands, some of these Monster High dolls should NOT have pink forced into their designs. CLEO BEING THE MAIN EXAMPLE.

Not shire about the color of her skirt. Wish it were a red and I’d have preferred her with pants as well. The glasses are cute but I’m not a fan of the foggy lenses, I want to still see Ghoulia’s eyes unless it’s clearly sunglasses for the spacific look. Clawdeen had glasses too and you can definitely see her eyes so it’s weird that they are so foggy in comparison. I can’t wait to find her I have loved her since the beginning so nothing changed there. I can’t comment yet about her talking as I need to see it in the show; the music videos are fun. I like that they have donated a part of her doll sales to mental health issues, it would be great if that develops into a consistent trait for her dolls also I hope in the show she feels like she still represented autism / nonverbal and nuro diversity!

@@SoraGrimmOfficial Yeah, but I get why people complain about it. It's cuz g3 changed alot of the characters, for the better or worse. And it's just an adjustment to get used to. Edit: Wdym by Frankie being made 100% out of electricity? They are made out of different human body parts. (Not being rude I genuinely don't understand)

@@thukunath_prethenth frankie is very electric centered and on top of being mixed with a lot of body parts they have robotic parts. though i think frankie is just blue because dead bodies tend to go bluish postmortem and ghoulia is green because they have a zombie infection. most modern zombies look grey but i think some of the older zombies had a greenish tint to their skin plus every cartoon zombie has green skin.

The Target, I got my Ghoulia at has a sticker that revealed that from the tenth to the 31st of October, a dollar would be donated to the program Do Something for every Ghoulia doll that is bought.

In many ways she is non verbally coded and having her speaking a language viewers can understand like in the movie is disappointing and can be seen as ablest

This is not Ghoulia. Even the 2nd generation did her more justice. I know Ghoulia's character was not explored that much and her style was also all over the place, but this version feels wrong. The design just does not work. It feels very basic/ordinary.
