I jammed in the keys and went to work; turned that tatty old wreck into an outhouse board by board. Didn’t die until DJ managed to hurl a stick of dynamite down its chimney stack. The fireplace was like the heart, you see: boom, house falls apart, Chowder saves the day. I’ll accept your adoration now.” “Dude, I don’t know what you’ve been smoking, but I want some.”

Knowing the back story, despite how absurd and goofy the entire premise is, it's a little hearbreaking to see Mr Nebbercracker throw a brick at Constance. It's a good callback to the scene where the kids hit her with eggs, and instead of him defending her, he is defending the kids. A really good scene in a really silly movie.

This is a very sad story because this house by itself is haunted by a fat woman who died in the construction. She hated childrens because they were the ones who mocks at her because of her physical apperance and the old man was the only one who was nice to her. After the accident, the whole house becomes her body and his husband keep her safe from unrespectful kids and teenagers. But at the time passed, she becomes more and more possesive of her husband and more aggressive, at a point that she is stealing his life. The old man yells at kids to stay away, but he is doing this more to protect them from his wife's anger than protecting her (and probably because she grew to have murder tendencies like what happened to the Z's boyfriend and a dog). That is the problem with people who got mistreated and mocked their whole life. If there is someone who has compassion for them, they will do anything to keep it with them so they can't suffer anymore, even if it means killing and keep this someone close to them and never let go,ruinning his/her life.
